Medical Aesthetic Marketing Director

 

Position Overview: 

The Medical Aesthetics Marketing Director plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the medical/physician channel, with a strong emphasis on expanding the Face Reality brand and driving company revenue. This position is integral to building and enhancing our brand presence in the marketplace, requiring a seasoned professional with expertise in leveraging clinical studies to substantiate marketing claims and strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving key opinion leader (KOL) engagement and cultivating influential relationships within the physician community, ensuring that Face Reality becomes a trusted name within the medical aesthetics space.

In this role, the Medical Aesthetics Marketing Director will lead the development and execution of comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategies tailored to the physician channel, while also leading efforts to elevate the brand’s voice and value proposition. This involves integrating clinical evidence into marketing campaigns to enhance credibility and attract physician support. The role requires a unique blend of strategic vision, analytical acumen, and exceptional leadership to foster both short-term and long-term success for the channel. A successful candidate will have the ability to influence key stakeholders, shape brand messaging, and drive financial performance by aligning marketing initiatives with broader business objectives.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Brand Strategy and Management-

  • Brand Leadership:
    • Serve as the champion of the brand within the Physician channel internally and externally, ensuring consistent brand voice and alignment with the company's mission and values, in partnership with the CRO.
    • Develop and maintain clear brand positioning and differentiation in the medical/physician market. Leverage the use of clinical research, claims and KOL partnership to strengthen the brand.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement integrated strategic marketing plans, including brand positioning, messaging, and overall branding experience.
    • Develop annual Marketing Plans and seasonal marketing strategies, particularly within the physician/medical channel.
    • Oversee portfolio positioning and lifecycle management, ensuring optimal product placement and market penetration. This includes providing competitive intel, and strategic direction for product development.
    • Continually assess the competitive landscape and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Campaign Development & Execution:
    • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that resonate with medical audiences.
    • Utilize insights and market trends to create compelling messaging and impactful creative assets.
    • Partner with internal creative team, and external partners to create breakthrough communications across all touchpoints, from traditional media to digital (data-driven) activations.
    • Lead B2B Physician PR, tradeshows, conferences, and other tactics to drive awareness and product sales. This includes but it is not limited to building strategy for which tradeshows and conferences to attend, which partners and ad boards to run, and developing the strategy and execution of the right branded partners (opinion leaders, influencers, and brand advocates).

 

Marketing Operations and Performance-

  • Financial Management:
    • Lead annual financial forecasting and budget development, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
    • Track and monitor monthly performance, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend corrective actions.
    • Manage budgets effectively to support marketing initiatives and achieve financial targets.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization:
    • Utilize data-driven insights to monitor campaign performance, analyze ROI, and optimize marketing strategies.
    • Implement metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
    • Develop, report on, and deliver performance metrics and attribution methods tied to brand initiatives and business objectives.
  • Marcom Calendar Management:
    • Owning & optimizing an integrated Marcom calendar in close coordination with Growth Marketing, Acne Expert Success Team, Clinic and other cross functional stakeholders.

 

Cross Functional Collaboration and Leadership-

  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Creative, Growth Marketing, Acne Expert Success Team, and Clinic to ensure cohesive brand messaging and alignment across all channels.
    • Partner with various internal functions, including Sales, Sales Training, Analytics, and Corporate Communications, to execute commercial activities.
    • Work with external vendors and partners.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Hire, manage, empower, train, and develop direct reports.
    • Lead and develop a team of marketing professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

 

Innovation and Education-

  • Innovation:
    • Drive innovation input into product development, to ensure we cater to the unique needs of the channel.
    • Continuously explore new opportunities to enhance brand visibility and engagement within the Physician channel; this includes seeking strategic partners with key opinion leaders, influencers and brand advocates.
  • Education Channel Leadership:
    • Lead the cross-functional collaboration with Education and the Education toolkit as it pertains to the physician channel, and sales teams that supports the channel.
    • Drive business growth through compelling educational programs in collaborative efforts with channel managers.

 

Market Insights-

  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Utilize medical/physician market research to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities and challenges.

 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in medical marketing (aesthetics, devices, or topical skincare industry preferred).
  • Experience directly managing strategies and programs in the medical/physician channel, this includes proven results managing key opinion leaders.
  • 10+ years of experience driving 360 digital and traditional marketing channel mix. 
  • Strong track record in a leadership role, including management of direct reports, external partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and attainment of goals. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
  • Comfortable lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment and materials
  • Comfortable using a computer, keyboard, and mouse

Salary: Base salary is $145k - $165k  per year plus bonus and full benefits package
