We’re seeking a highly analytical and proactive finance professional who will play a key role in shaping how financial performance is produced and understood. This position will own core financial reporting, provide insights, and help strengthen the systems and processes that enable accurate and timely decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong financial fundamentals, a deep understanding of the business, possesses strong problem-solving skills, is detail-oriented and a mindset focused on continuous improvement and automation.
This role will report directly to the Controller within the accounting organization. In addition, the position will maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship to the FP&A Manager for board reporting and financial planning activities. In this capacity, the individual will partner closely with FP&A to support board presentations, forecasting processes, and executive-level financial analysis.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages, including managerial P&L, Cash Flow Statement, executive summaries and ad-hoc reports.
- Conduct regular managerial P&L analyses, providing detailed departmental performance insights and translating consolidated financial results into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Perform rigorous variance analysis across the managerial P&L in partnership with the Controller, with a strong focus on margin performance and unit economics, identifying key financial drivers, operational gaps, and areas requiring timely corrective action.
- Work closely with the Accounting team to generate and analyze Balance Sheet reports to track financial health.
- Prepare monthly executive decks, support the reporting close, and develop quarterly financial packages and board-level presentations with integrated profitability analysis.
- Improve financial reporting processes and automation by integrating ERP (NetSuite) with different sources of information to achieve efficiency across systems.
Qualifications:
- Strong background (+5 years) in Accounting, Financial reporting, or corporate finance with expertise in consolidation, account mapping, and reporting.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (MBA, CPA, or CFA certifications are a plus).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides to prepare executive and board-level reporting materials.
- Clear understanding of US and Colombian financial regulations and financial statement structure ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (ERP), with the ability to leverage data for strategic insights. Netsuite is a plus.
- Keen attention to detail, and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, particularly with the Accounting and Finance departments during closing periods.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Proactive and self-driven, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
