About the position: 

We are currently looking for an energetic direct response fundraising professional to join the data management team.  

In this position, you will be responsible for writing and coordinating data instructions for the processing of mailing files for our various local and national nonprofit clients. You will maintain and adhere to job schedules based upon due dates provided by the production team, keeping both client teams and vendors on schedule during the file creation and preparation processYou will facilitate the transfer of data assets to the appropriate parties and secure approvals before managing the delivery of final assets.  

The position requires a high degree of organization, support for client teamsself-direction, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. Moreover, working with a variety of internal clients and external vendors demands clear and frequent communication. To be successful, you will: 

  • Manage the mail file creation schedule in line with the production schedules.  
  • Provide clear and timely communication of deadlines and due dates. 
  • Interact with the client team to ensure strategic direction is effectively translated into data instructions. 
  • Clearly communicate mail file criteria in client data requests. 
  • Serve as liaison with data vendors during file processing, troubleshooting and escalating as necessary. 
  • Monitor file deliverables and proactively keep projects on schedule, ensuring that files are created and delivered on time 
  • Traffic and manage all file related output including final mail files, NCOA changes and finder files. 
  • Have an eagerness to learn. 
  • Be a team player willing to communicate readily. You will have to work with various internal departmentsvendors and clients to complete projects. 
  • Assist with additional team and client data support as necessary. 

Requirements/Skills: 

  • 2-5 years’ experience in fundraising, data processing or a related field. 
  • Nonprofit fundraising and/or agency experience preferred, with the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and an interest in direct marketing. 
  • Attention to details and demonstrated project management and organizational skills to manage competing deadlines. 
  • Quick and effective response in delivering the highest quality product. 
  • Strong written and oral communications skills to develop relationships and properly communicate with internal constituencies and external vendors. 
  • Possess a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment; includes working with a broad range of team members. 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
