job purpose:
Responsible for the full goods Put Away of all products off of the palletizers and supplies for finished goods. Assists with other Warehouse operational activities, as time allows, such as receiving of raw materials, Loading dunnage trailers, Case Pick, Finished Goods Load out, Inventory cycle counting, chemical receiving and miscellaneous other duties.
responsibilities:
- Reports to and follows the directors of the Warehouse Manager and Production Supervisors.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of forklifts.
- Put Away all product palletized from the palletizers in the proper location instructed by the warehouse computer system in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Maintain proper First In and First Out rotation of the products, inventory of supplies, and of assigned items.
- See that all Finished Goods orders are properly shipped, all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and computer documentation has been registered.
- Check incoming full goods orders and determine if there is enough inventory to cover the orders. If not, consult with management and determine what action should be taken.
- See that all case pick orders are properly, accurately picked and shipped, all necessary paperwork is properly and accurately filled out and computer documentation has been registered.
- Check incoming dry and raw material orders and determine inventory placement of the materials in its proper locations. If no space is available, consult with management and determine what action should be taken.
- Assure that the warehouse stays clean and orderly at all times and that white borders stay clean. All supplies and inventory items remain 18” from the walls.
- Ensure the warehouse remains Audit Ready at all times.
- Conduct monthly and yearly inventories.
- Learn how to operate the palletizers and keep them loaded with pallets to ensure consistent non interrupted operation of the palletizer.
- Keep management personnel up to date on warehouse operations through verbal and written communications.
- Confirm product quality with Quality Assurance Department prior to shipping if product is being expedited and has not passed the release protocol.
- Assure that all products meet customer requirements.
- Inspects all trucks prior to loading; they must be clean and free of any foreign debris. Do not load any damaged product or into any damaged trailers.
- Ensure all dock locks are engaged onto the trailer ICC bars and wheels are chocked.
- Keep entire warehouse and shipping docks clear of debris and clean.
- Responsible for removal of manufacturing refuse material from production floor.
- Aid in the training of new personnel.
- Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

- Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period.
Must possess or be able to obtain an Industrial Truck Operator License.

Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting/Carrying: The Warehouse Operator stands throughout their shift and sits approximately one quarter of their shift while operating an industrial truck. The warehouse operator walks on uneven concrete and tile surfaces. The Warehouse Operator lifts up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on occasional basis. Two or more employees complete lifts of greater than 80 pounds.
Pushing/Pulling/Bending/Stooping: The Warehouse Operator occasionally pushes/pulls filled bags when re-stacking a pallet. The Warehouse Operator pushes/pulls while using brooms and dust mops during cleanup duties. The Warehouse Operator bends and stoops occasionally throughout the workday for varying lengths of time.
Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling/Twisting/Turning: The Warehouse Operator may squat to pick up product from the floor, or during various cleanup duties. Occasional slight twisting and turning at the waist when sampling powder, or when re-stacking pallets.
Climbing/Balancing/Reaching: Warehouse Operator steps on and off the industrial truck. The Warehouse Operator reaches below and/or above shoulder level when removing or adding bags to a pallet.
Grasping/Manipulation: Frequent use of the hands and fingers is required.

- Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
- Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
- Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
