about our internship program:
The fairlife Summer Internship Program is designed to welcome interns across our locations to gain meaningful experience and social and professional development opportunities. For 11 weeks, interns will work in one of our three locations: Chicago, IL, Coopersville, MI, or Goodyear, AZ. fairlife’s paid internship program also offers a summer full of social, professional, and community engagement events including exposure to our senior leadership and executives across the business in small group settings, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips, and for those qualified and selected, an opportunity to pursue a full-time job opportunity.
The fairlife 2025 Summer Internship Program will take place from 6/2 through 8/15 at the fairlife location specified in this job description.
job purpose: This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analyzing and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data to derive actionable insights that will influence our retailer, consumer, and shopping behavior strategies. The intern will play a pivotal role in supporting the team by providing thoughtful and data-driven recommendations aimed at enhancing our channel strategies.
skills/qualifications required:
- Must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program
- Student entering the fall semester as a junior or senior preferred
- Preferred focus on Marketing, Business, Operations, Management, Data Analytics, and Consumer Insights/Sociology
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across several groups
- Always curious, always asking questions, and always striving to learn
- High proficiency with all Microsoft Office platforms, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, or higher
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
learning objectives:
- Deepen knowledge of how retailer dynamics, consumer preferences, and shopping behaviors influence market performance
- Translate data sets into clear, actionable recommendations that can drive strategic decision-making
- Enhance skills in creating compelling, data-driven presentations and reports that effectively communicate insights to various stakeholders.
- Learn about various functions within CPG companies such as Channel/Commercial Strategy, Sales, Shopper Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Brand/Marketing, Knowledge & Insights, E-Commerce, and Business Intelligence
- Learn how to use popular syndicated data sources (Nielsen, Numerator, etc.) to drive business strategy forward
