about our internship program:
The fairlife Summer Internship Program is designed to welcome interns across our locations to gain meaningful experience and social and professional development opportunities. For 11 weeks, interns will work in one of our three locations: Chicago, IL, Coopersville, MI, or Goodyear, AZ. fairlife’s paid internship program also offers a summer full of social, professional, and community engagement events including exposure to our senior leadership and executives across the business in small group settings, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips, and for those qualified and selected, an opportunity to pursue a full-time job opportunity.
The fairlife 2025 Summer Internship Program will take place from 6/2 through 8/15 at the fairlife location specified in this job description.
job purpose: The HR Intern will spend the summer gaining true HR Generalist experience, being exposed across the many areas of HR, supporting the HR team in delivering high-quality, customer-focused HR service.
responsibilities:
- Lead projects in all facets of HR across the finish line during the internship program. Projects may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in creating functional competencies for the organization.
- Own the creation of interview guides for different functions in the business.
- Identify gaps in HR processes and recommended improvements where needed.
- Assist the HR team in organizing any special events at HQ or across all sites.
- Assist in updating job boards, screening forms, and handling applicants’ resumes.
- Coordinate with prospective employees and schedule interviews.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient central storage system for HR files.
skills/qualifications required:
- Must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program
- Student entering the fall semester as a junior or senior preferred
- Preferred focus on Business, Communications, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or similar fields.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, or higher
- Organization skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite
- Strong communication
- Ability to handle conflict
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
learning objectives:
- Gain HR Generalist experience by supporting the different areas of HR during the summer. This may include:
- Talent Acquisition experience using an ATS, screening resumes, and assisting the TA Partners.
- Assist with training initiatives to understand the impact of training at a corporate office.
- Participate in reviewing survey results and creating action plans.
- Understand the importance of strong competencies for a business unit within fairlife corporate.
