about our internship program:
The fairlife Summer Internship Program is designed to welcome interns across our locations to gain meaningful experience and social and professional development opportunities. For 11 weeks, interns will work in one of our three locations: Chicago, IL, Coopersville, MI, or Goodyear, AZ. fairlife’s paid internship program also offers a summer full of social, professional, and community engagement events including exposure to our senior leadership and executives across the business in small group settings, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips, and for those qualified and selected, an opportunity to pursue a full-time job opportunity.
The fairlife 2025 Summer Internship Program will take place from 6/2 through 8/15 at the fairlife location specified in this job description.
job purpose: The Marketing Intern will support the Connections Team, a specialized team within the greater marketing organization focused on developing end-to-end media plans to drive business growth across our brands. This person will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within our marketing organization, integrated agency team and across cross functional teams inclusive of shopper marketing, digital marketing, sales and commercial units. This person will gain knowledge across brand marketing capabilities, media strategy, audience planning, influencer management and how to leverage consumer-centric insights to inform strategy.
skills/qualifications required:
- Must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program
- Student entering the fall semester as a junior or senior preferred
- Preferred focus on Marketing, Business, Advertising
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, or higher
- Intellectually curious, entrepreneurial spirit and proactive problem solver
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Insights-driven, strategic thinker that enjoys learning in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative spirit with a desire to learn more about the marketing and media space
learning objectives:
- Develop an understanding of each of fairlife’s brands and the role marketing plays to drive growth for the business
- Gain an understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape and how we work with our agency and media partners to develop strategy and execute our annual media plan
- Support influencer programming by collaborating with team across partner selection, content creation and reporting
- Support the strategic development of our annual Holiday plan, gaining real time exposure to working within an integrated agency team
- Identify 1-2 areas of interest within fairlife and establish development plan to get more exposure within specific area
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners across the marketing and COO organization on multiple projects to gain visibility into different workflows
