job purpose: The Sr. Engineering Project Manager will lead end-to-end execution of capital projects at fairlife’s Coopersville plant. This includes managing initiatives related to processing and packaging equipment, infrastructure, and safety improvements. The role requires strong collaboration with Plant Engineering, Operations, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company standards.
responsibilities:
- Lead capital projects from concept through commissioning and validation
- Collaborate with plant teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and corporate regulations
- Support development and execution of the site’s capital portfolio
- Provide technical leadership on processing, packaging, and infrastructure systems
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
skills/qualifications required:
- 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food & beverage industry
- Proven success managing capital and process engineering projects
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Hands-on experience with equipment commissioning and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of automated systems (PLCs, valves, pumps, actuators, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, P&ID, and electrical schematics
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Experience with processing and packaging systems
- Strong leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

Base pay range:
$100,000 - $125,000 USD
