job purpose:
The Quality Systems Coordinator provides key support for the Quality Assurance Department and is responsible for driving the integrity and effectiveness of the site’s quality, food safety, and compliance programs by ensuring accurate documentation, monitoring sanitation and processing controls, supporting regulatory and certification requirements, and delivering essential training across Quality Systems. Serve as a key resource for Presage, ETQ, and PowerBI, maintain critical records, coordinate sensory and audit activities, and proactively identify and communicate risks to uphold product safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Additionally assists the Quality Systems Manager in the daily work requirements, including LIMS Maintenance, document and records review, and audit program upkeep.
responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and completion of Presage checks for all departments onsite (Excluding Quality) and report any issues or out of spec checks to site leadership.
- Review for accuracy and completion of all CIP records, checklists, and titration records. Monitor sanitation programs for effectiveness through document review and perform any needed tracking associated with these records. Effectively communicate any nonconformances found to site leadership.
- Create and maintain library of Quality Control & Quality Systems training videos. Partner with Training department to send completed training sheets and videos to be uploaded into FEED learning management system.
- Identify and address any potential food safety/compliance/regulatory issues. This could be the result of documentation issues, laboratory testing results out of specification, processing parameters not achieved, personal observations, employee feedback, etc.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of sensory panelist schedule and communication to the team as to when sensory must be completed. Coordinate with quality control personnel to create and execute sensory sample and work order creation.
- Maintain and update all plant chemicals in ETQ with input/coordination with site Safety and Maintenance departments.
- Coordinate with Quality Systems Lead in order to assist in the training of any new quality control personnel on laboratory SOPs.
- Support internal site audit programs (i.e. GMP Audits, Internal Audits) and external audits (i.e. GAO, FSSC, Kosher, Halal). Member of the plant HACCP Team.
- Coordinate and facilitate any quality new hire orientation and provide any necessary training for plant personnel on quality management systems (Presage, ETQ, etc.) as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining all results and reports in a confidential manner in accordance with the Company Letter of Confidentiality. Responsible for managing the record retention program for all required process documentation.
- Create, Implement and Maintain PowerBI Reports and Presage LIMS System. Become the SME for PowerBI, ETQ and Presage.
- Assist in the organizing/auditing of site raw materials for Kosher and Halal certification. Act as Liaison for Kosher Site Visits.
- Follow all safety, work policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
skills/qualifications required:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dairy Science, Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry or related field or five (5) years of comparable experience in dairy manufacturing or related scientific laboratory testing. Must be certified or willing to complete certification within 6 months for Better Process Control School, PCQI, Auditing and HACCP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on details and accuracy of records.
- Ability to work independently with professional demeanor.
- Effectively able to communicate both verbal and written with various cross-functional teams.
- Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS)
- Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to complete work assignments based on broad directions with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of materials management techniques
working conditions and physical requirements:
- 40-45 hours/sitting/standing/walking/lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Assist can be provided.
food safety responsibilities:
- Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
- Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
- Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.

Base pay range:
$55,000 - $60,000 USD
