Network Field Operations Manager

ResiBridge is a high-growth startup ISP backed by a national real estate developer that owns and manages more than 25,000 apartments across 28 states. As we expand fiber broadband and TV services into both affiliated and third-party multifamily properties, with a strong focus on affordable housing, we’re hiring a hands-on, detail-oriented Field Operations Manager to drive our field execution, logistics, materials, and vendor operations.
This role is designed for a natural leader who thrives on planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring that our field operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on time, even when the landscape is shifting daily. The Field Operations Manager will not personally perform each function, but will own the systems, people, and accountability that ensure these functions get done.
Responsibilities:
Field Team Oversight & Support
- Lead daily morning check-ins, distribute meeting agendas, and review day-to-day field progress and blockers.
- Conduct weekly team updates and coaching sessions to improve install velocity, build quality, and operational discipline.
- Act as primary point-of-contact for field teams, ensuring all technicians are equipped, scheduled, and informed.
- Dispatch and coordinate field resources across construction, installation, and maintenance, adjusting in real time as needed.
Scheduling & Production Alignment
- Create and adjust daily and weekly task assignments to align with production goals, available workforce, and roadblocks.
- Coordinate install timelines with construction milestones to meet internal deployment schedules.
- Identify and fill resource gaps to maintain momentum and avoid deployment delays.
Workforce Logistics & Timesheet Management
- Oversee material drop-offs for technicians who rely on public transit or cannot transport large equipment.
- Monitor and approve daily time sheets and weekly hours, ensuring labor compliance and accuracy.
- Act as a problem solver for field-level roadblocks, redirecting support or resources to minimize downtime.
Materials & Inventory Oversight
- Ensure materials availability is never a roadblock, actively tracking usage and delivery windows.
- Manage all material procurement for construction and install teams across both internal and external markets.
- Pull, review, and act on stocking reports regularly to keep teams supplied and ready.
- Oversee receiving, storage, and deployment plans, including vendor-held inventory.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Manage multiple external vendors, track orders, and adapt to a fluid and shifting supplier environment.
- Source new suppliers, negotiate pricing, and test/implement new products for long-term efficiency.
- Review and approve material quotes, ensuring cost-efficiency and compatibility with ongoing work.
- On-going sourcing new suppliers, products and vendors
Backhaul & Build Planning
- Negotiate and monitor backhaul delivery timelines, addressing delays or design changes with upstream providers.
- Ensure alignment between network design, backhaul availability, and install schedules to meet site readiness goals.
- Ensure build teams are staying within budget
- Review SOW and designs
- QC and review as-builts on completed projects
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-7+ years of operations management experience in broadband/telecom, utilities, or field service/logistics roles.
- 2-3+ years experience with fiber optical deployments GPON/XG(S)PON.
- Proven success in managing large field teams, technicians, or distributed install crews.
- Strong background in task scheduling, dispatch, vendor management, and materials logistics.
- Highly organized with a talent for multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Strong working knowledge of CRMs, ticketing systems, project management tools, inventory management platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface between executives, field techs, and external vendors.
- Comfortable traveling frequently to support regional rollout or resolve field escalations (approx. 5-10% travel).
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Salary Range
$100,000 - $150,000 USD
