The Porter provides routine cleaning and custodial care of the property’s exterior. They are responsible for maintaining the clean and hygienic condition of the property’s premises and facilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and inspect the property daily, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, carpets, vents, restrooms, and other common areas; picking up trash; and keeping building entrances, lobbies, grounds, and exterior areas clean, clear, and free of clutter.
  • Walk the property daily, inspecting all areas for cleanliness and safety, and helping to maintain great curb appeal.
  • Report any conditions on the property that prevent cleaning or require additional cleaning attention and notifies supervisor of problems or difficulties in performing job duties.
  • Maintain a high-level of customer service.
  • Performs assigned tasks at cleaning sites, including but not limited to carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
  • Assists in moving supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Monitors inventory of supplies and notifies management when the need for replenishment arises.
  • Perform snow and ice removal, including applying salt or ice melt, from entrances, sidewalks, walkways, and other exterior areas, if necessary based on property location.
  • Place appropriate safety signage for wet floors, wet paint, and other potential hazards.
  • Respond promptly to spills, cleaning emergencies, snow/ice conditions, and other urgent property needs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General interest in custodial and cleaning work, with strong attention to detail.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

 

Salary Range

$21 - $23 USD
