As a comprehensive solution for all digital asset strategies from start to scale, FalconX operates as the connective tissue empowering clients with seamless navigation through the ever- evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
The Impact
This is a high-impact seat within FalconX Bravo, our regulated swap dealer entity, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a hybrid role: you will own high-level regulatory reporting (CFTC/NFA) and audit relationships, while simultaneously rolling up your sleeves to manage the foundational accounting operations (GL, Reconciliations, AP). We are a lean, high-growth team, so we need someone who loves the regulatory complexity of a broker-dealer environment but is scrappy enough to build financial processes from the ground up.
Core Responsibilities
- Regulatory Reporting (Critical)
- Own the preparation and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly regulatory filings (CFTC and NFA) and regulatory capital reports for FalconX Bravo.
- General Ledger & Reconciliations
- Perform daily balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure data integrity, audit-readiness, and accurate financial reporting.
- Audit & Compliance
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and assist in preparing materials for regulatory examinations.
- Foundational Operations
- Manage the full lifecycle of finance functions, including Accounts Payable, expense reporting, and vendor management.
- Note: We are looking for someone to not just execute these tasks, but to automate and optimize the processes.
- Process Architecture
- Identify opportunities to enhance internal controls and shorten the close process; build robust in-house capabilities for a scaling regulated entity.
Required Qualifications
- Regulatory Expertise: Experience with Broker-Dealer or Swap Dealer regulatory reporting (specifically CFTC/NFA requirements) is the most critical technical skill for this role
- 3-5 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets. Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
- Self-motivated and "scrappy." You must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to build structure rather than just follow it.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
- CPA, CFA, or advanced degree.
- Prior experience in a financial services firm, start up or in the digital assets industry.
The base pay for this role is expected to be between $111,000 - $150,000level in the New York City and San Francisco Bay Area. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as location, skillset, experience, qualifications and the level at which the candidate is hired.
