Director, Electronic Trading

New York City, NY

Who are we?

FalconX is a pioneering team of operators, investors, and builders committed to revolutionizing institutional access to the crypto markets. Operating at the intersection of traditional finance and
cutting-edge technology, FalconX addresses the industry's foremost challenges: Navigating the digital asset market can be complex and fragmented, with limited products and services that support trading strategies, structures, and liquidity found in conventional financial markets. As a comprehensive solution for all digital asset strategies from start to scale, FalconX operates as the connective tissue empowering clients with seamless navigation through the ever-
evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

About the role

As Director of Sales, Electronic Trading, you will found and lead our Electronic Trading Sales franchise. Your clients will be hedge funds, quant and systematic funds, market makers, proprietary trading firms, asset managers, and banks. You will bring the best of them onto FalconX, then grow that business into a core part of the firm.

This is for a senior seller with a large, established book of electronic trading clients. You should want the freedom to build from the ground up with the backing of an established prime broker. You will work directly with leadership, Trading, Product, Engineering, and Risk. Your clients' feedback will feed straight into what we build.

What you'll do

  • Found Electronic Trading Sales. Define the go-to-market strategy, target client segments, pricing approach, and coverage model. Set the standard for how FalconX sells electronic trading.
  • Bring your book. Move your existing relationships with electronic and algorithmic clients to FalconX. Win new ones across spot, derivatives, FX, and financing.
  • Onboard and grow clients. Guide clients through KYC, credit, and technical integration. Then expand their flow and wallet share.
  • Be the voice of the client. Turn client needs into product requirements. Help decide which venues, order types, and connectivity options we build first.
  • Partner with Trading and Risk. Work on pricing, limits, credit, and capacity so growth stays profitable and well managed.
  • Stay ahead of the market. Track competitors, market structure, and regulation. Bring your views to leadership.
  • Represent FalconX. Speak for the firm at conferences, client events, and industry forums.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years in Electronic Trading Sales at a bank, broker-dealer, prime broker, exchange, or trading venue. Your coverage should have been electronic and algorithmic clients.
  • A large, established book of electronic trading clients, and the credibility to bring meaningful flow with you.
  • A builder's mindset. You have launched a desk, product, or coverage model, or you want to and have the judgment to do it well.
  • Strong technical fluency. You can discuss FIX and API connectivity, latency, execution quality, TCA, and market microstructure with sophisticated users.
  • Existing relationships with hedge funds, quant and systematic funds, market makers, or prop trading firms.
  • Leadership experience, or a clear readiness to lead and hire. You are a player-coach.
  • Commercial judgment on pricing, credit, and risk, and an understanding of how sales decisions affect P&L.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the presence to engage C-level and senior trading clients.
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, always-on market.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience in crypto or digital assets, including spot, perpetuals, futures, and options.
  • Knowledge of prime brokerage, financing, and portfolio margining.
  • A global client network, particularly across EMEA and APAC.
