Litigation Paralegal

Work Location
This position is based onsite at our current Bell, CA office and will transition to our new Beverly Hills, CA headquarters in Q1 2026. Candidates must be able to commute to both locations.


About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic in-house legal team. This role is instrumental in supporting litigation and investigation matters across a variety of practice areas, including commercial disputes, employment law, and compliance matters. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of California state and federal court systems, thrives under pressure, and demonstrates the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and organizational skill.


Key Responsibilities

Litigation Support & Case Management

  • Assist attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle—from pre-litigation investigation through trial and post-judgment actions.

  • Draft and manage legal documents including complaints, answers, subpoenas, discovery responses, motions, and correspondence.

  • Organize and maintain litigation case files (physical and electronic) in accordance with internal systems and litigation support software.

  • Track and manage litigation calendars including deadlines, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, witnesses, outside counsel, and court personnel.

  • Manage service of process and court filings in compliance with California state and federal rules.

  • Assist with trial prep, including preparing exhibit binders, witness materials, and coordinating logistics.

Research & Compliance

  • Conduct legal and factual research using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PACER.

  • Manage legal holds, subpoenas, and document production workflows.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive materials in compliance with California labor and privacy regulations.

  • Support internal compliance and risk initiatives related to litigation.


Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, including at least 2 years in California state and federal courts.

  • Proven experience managing complex, high-volume litigation.

  • Prior in-house or corporate legal department experience strongly preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure, local court rules, and filing requirements.

  • Excellent drafting, proofreading, and case management skills.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation tools such as Relativity, CaseText, Concordance, or similar platforms.

  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Discreet, professional, and adept at handling confidential and sensitive matters.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with employment litigation, wage & hour claims, class actions, or commercial disputes.

  • In-house legal department or corporate experience.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

At FAM Brands, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation. Salary ranges for positions are based on job level, location, and market data. We offer competitive benefits and are dedicated to equal pay for equal work. Specific salary offers depend on each candidate’s qualifications and experience. FAM Brands also offers all employees participation in our annual bonus program (Non-Sales) or commission program (Sales).

Compensation Range

$100,000 - $125,000 USD
