  • Location: Locust Valley, NY
  • Status: Part time Hourly, School calendar with potential for extended school year
  • Hours: Mon-Fri (Stable 30+hours/weekly)
  • Compensation: $25-$28

 Responsibilities: 

  • Provide instructional services and support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher
  • Help prepare teaching materials and environment to support instruction
  • Familiarity with basic behavior intervention strategies and principles
  • Participate in maintaining data collection to ensure success of academic and behavioral plans
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with children and staff
  • Possibility of assisting in managing the behaviors of students and crisis intervention 
  • Participate in team meetings as appropriate

And this background: 

  • RBT credential & Teaching Assistant Certification: Level I, Level II, Level III or Pre-Professional MANDATORY
  • High School Diploma or equivalent – Associates preferred.
  • Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum a plusMust have reliable transportation
  • Bilingual a plus
