Our comprehensive virtual care model delivers evidence-based mental health services across the full reproductive lifecycle—from fertility through menopause—using the proven Collaborative Care Model (CoCM).
Our tech-enabled platform integrates coaching, therapy, and psychiatric services directly into clinical workflows, making mental health care accessible, affordable, and insurance-covered. With 95% of patients experiencing clinical improvement within four months, FamilyWell is addressing one of healthcare’s most underserved areas while building a financially sustainable model for provider partners.

Compensation: $175,000-$215,000 base salary, plus bonus eligibility and equity
Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic and operationally excellent Vice President of Finance to lead FamilyWell’s financial strategy and ensure disciplined, capital-efficient growth as we scale nationally. This role is essential to optimizing unit economics, revenue capture, and operating leverage while building scalable financial operations aligned with our mission.
As a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, the VP of Finance will drive financial planning, analysis, and decision-making across the organization. This leader will translate complex financial data into actionable insights, support board and investor engagement, and help build the financial infrastructure required for sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Partner closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to:
- Translate operational and collections data into financial projections
- Ensure KPI dashboards align with company targets
- Model new pricing structures and payer arrangements
- Build, maintain, and continuously refine sophisticated financial models to support profitability-focused strategic and operational decision-making
- Conduct scenario analyses to inform trade-offs between growth, margin, and capital efficiency
- Translate complex financial analyses into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership
- Partner with leadership on annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning with a focus on cash flow, margin expansion, and operating leverage
- Analyze unit economics by state, payer, and service line to prioritize high-margin, sustainable growth
- Develop financial dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into business performance, runway, and path to profitability
- Support board and investor discussions with clear financial narratives centered on capital efficiency, sustainable margins, and long-term value creation
- Provide oversight of the Controller, accounting operations, and overall financial governance
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing finance team
- Set clear goals and performance metrics; provide ongoing coaching and professional development for your team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
- Scale team structure and capabilities in alignment with company growth and financial priorities
- Partner with external vendors and consultants as needed to supplement internal expertise
Strategic Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with the CEO and cross-functional leaders (growth, sales, partner success) to evaluate the financial viability of new services and growth opportunities
- Build strong relationships with board members through communication, presentations, and financial modeling for fundraising
- Engage with industry associations and peer networks to stay informed on best practices in healthcare finance
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Director, Head of Finance, VP, or CFO)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Experience building, managing, and developing teams in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field and an MBA or other relevant advanced degree
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
Strongly Preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing to profitability, margin expansion, or cash-flow discipline in a high-growth environment
- Experience with Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) billing codes (99492, 99493, 99494) and integrated behavioral health
- Background in women’s health, maternal health, or behavioral health services
- Experience at a Series A (or later) high-growth startup or digital health company
- Knowledge of multi-state healthcare operations and regulatory environments
- Familiarity with EHR systems and practice management software
- Healthcare finance or revenue cycle certifications (e.g., CHFP, CRCR)
