About the Team

Fanatics Collectibles is a new company operating at the intersection of collectibles, culture, and technology. Backed by world-class investors, operators, and sports & entertainment partners, we are building the global leader in next-generation collectibles. As part of the broader Fanatics ecosystem, we leverage a digital sports platform that spans over 900 sports properties and engages more than 81 million fans. Role Summary

  • The Quality Control Supervisor compiles and communicates information obtained from quality audits performed by the Quality Department to Quality Managers and manufacturing teams. supply chain. The
  • Quality Assurance Supervisor reports directly to the Sr. Quality Manager.
  • This position is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and is in person.
  • Shift oversight / responsibility: 1st or 2nd Shift
  • Regular work week is 40 hours minimum with a reasonable amount of time allotted for lunch, not to extend beyond an hour without prior approval.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as production demands.
  • The QC Supervisor is responsible for communicating and auditing production WIP to make sure it all meets our CTQ (Critical to Quality) requirements.
  • This position interfaces with a range of internal product development teams and the breadth of our manufacturing network.

Experience/Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ Years of Work Experience in a equivalent or supervisory role preferably in highly configurable, high mix/low volume product manufacturing, consumer-packaged goods, and/or contract manufacturing.
  • Sports Trading Card experience a plus
  • experience leading teams a plus
  • Bi-lingual / Spanish speaking a plus

 Quality Assurance Experience:

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally with production
  • Experience with conducting quality process audits and addressing quality issues in a timely manner

 Production Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting quality targets with regards to on time delivery, utilization, efficiency and scrap, while maintaining world class Quality.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing initiatives a plus.

Management Experience:

  • Significant experience in a supervisory role within a busy manufacturing setting

Process Improvement Experience:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies a plus

 Safety and Compliance Experience:

  • Proven track record of maintaining quality, safety and compliance standards in a manufacturing environment.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Experience:

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Tracks status and coordinates the physical samples of all components, WIP and verifies sign offs.
  • Responsible for the delivery and archive of the Product/Component Binders for each Fanatics Collectibles products produced in the plant.
  • Responsible for the coordination, tracking and delivery for all finished sheet (1 per form) to NY office.
  • Provides routine status/reports on all components with regards to quality performance and status of QC through the plant.
  • Attend product walkthroughs and BOM (Bill of Material) reviews, evaluate risks to timing, and potential quality alerts.
  • Liaison with project management team to ensure manufacturing and finishing processes are on-schedule and support product release dates.
  • Works cross functionally to manage on-site and in-process quality assurance checks for all WIP and finished goods across supply chain.
  • Works with operators, supervisors and line leads in effort to meet the high-quality standards for each specific operation. Candidate will collaborate with other leaders across the organization to create and implement process where needed.
  • Collaborates and educates our production operators, line leads, supervisors as to importance of key attributes with regards to quality as it impacts the collector. Works cross functionally with Brand Team to bring awareness to manufacturing teams for key initiatives/components in product. Candidate will assist and contribute to production training materials and implementation.
  • Support the building of QC reporting & analytics
  • Collaborate with the Topps and Fanatics Collectibles team to understand challenges and pain points in the supply chain and develop and execute plans to address ongoing issues and concerns with suppliers. Candidate will contribute to process re-engineering through participation and feedback.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards for responsible department
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance a plus

 Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement and Production departments towards the implementation and execution of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives based on the analytics of the department production processes and workflows

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Document any incidents, accidents, or quality issues of responsible department.
  • Proficiency in data and analytics - support the development of KPI reporting & analytics (scrap, efficiency, equipment & headcount utilization, etc.)

Resource Management:

  • Ensure that all necessary materials and supplies are available for to maintain the binder project

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Inform direct manager of any planed or unplanned leave presented during the work scheduled
  • Maintain open and constant communication about all department matters with the direct manager

 

Additional Skills:

  • Strong collaboration skills & knowledge of the trading card industry with regards to quality
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, complex, highly configurable manufacturing environment

 

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the manufacturing facility
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling to monitor machinery, inspect WIP, and handle materials.
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below shoulder level to access materials
  • Compliance with all safety protocols and regulations regarding PPE usage (including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc.)
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential hazards.
  • Tolerance for working in conditions that may include dust, fumes, and strong odors.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts and high-pressure situations.
