About the Role

We are seeking a Principal, Logistics & Operations to own the end-to-end shipping experience and logistics strategy across Fanatics Collect. This role sits at the intersection of product, operations, customer experience, finance, and engineering, and is critical to delivering a fast, reliable, and trusted fulfillment experience for collectors around the world.

You will be responsible for defining shipping strategy, optimizing logistics operations, managing carrier, insurance, and fulfillment partners, and driving cross-functional initiatives that improve delivery speed, reliability, cost, and transparency. This role will play a key part in shaping how collectors experience Fanatics Collect from the moment an order is placed to when it arrives at their door.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve seller shipping and logistics onboarding, requirements, and enablement to ensure consistent service levels, compliance, and a premium collector experience
  • Analyze shipping and delivery data to identify friction, delays, loss, and cost optimization opportunities
  • Manage the shipping and logistics performance across domestic and international fulfillment
  • Own shipping insurance strategy, coverage models, and claims workflows, balancing cost, risk mitigation, and collector trust in partnership with Legal, Risk, and Finance.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to design and improve seller and buyer shipping flows, tracking, and post-purchase experiences
  • Lead issue resolution for delayed, lost, damaged, or misrouted shipments, in partnership with CX and Operations teams
  • Define and monitor key logistics KPIs including delivery SLAs, on-time performance, loss/damage rates, cost per shipment, and customer satisfaction
  • Evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with carriers, fulfillment partners, and logistics vendors
  • Lead commercial negotiations, rate optimization, and RFPs to ensure scalable and cost-effective shipping solutions
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics related to shipping and fulfillment
  • Align priorities across Operations, Product, Engineering, Customer Support, Legal, and Risk teams
  • Balance operational controls, risk mitigation, and compliance with a premium, collector-first shipping experience

 

Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce fulfillment
  • Proven ability to improve delivery performance, reduce shipping costs, and enhance post-purchase customer experience
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and scaling operational processes in fast-moving environments
  • Expert-level Excel / Google Sheets skills for modeling, forecasting, and analysis
  • Strong analytics background with experience in logistics and fulfillment performance metrics
  • Familiarity with carriers (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL), 3PLs, and international shipping solutions
  • Experience working with order management systems, WMS, or shipping platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode); SQL is a plus
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate operational complexity into clear business insights
  • Fluency with modern AI tools to support analysis, forecasting, and operational decision-making

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.  This salary range is specific to New York City and may not be applicable to other locations.  When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. $150,000 - $187,500 USD
