Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is building the global infrastructure to support the fastest-growing collectibles business in the world. We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager of International Supply Chain Strategy to design and stand up end-to-end supply chain capabilities for new international markets—often from zero.
This role will partner closely with Commercial, Drops, Product, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to build scalable, compliant product flows that support highly anticipated launches, time-sensitive drops, and premium collector experiences. You will help determine how trading cards, sealed product, and other collectibles move from production to collectors across new geographies—at speed, at scale, and in compliance with complex international customs and import requirements.
This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and enjoys building new supply chain models to support hyper growth.
Key Responsibilities
Zero-to-One Market & Product Flow Design
- Design end-to-end international supply chain models to support new Fanatics Collectibles market launches
- Build product flows from the ground up, including inbound logistics, inventory positioning, fulfillment, and returns
- Partner with Commercial and Drops teams to translate product strategies, launch calendars, and growth targets into executable supply chain plans
- Balance speed, cost, service, scalability, and risk to support high-velocity launches and sustained growth
Inbound & Global Product Flows
- Define inbound transportation strategies for trading cards and collectibles, including factory-to-market flows, cross-border movement, and regional distribution
- Design inbound flows that navigate complex customs clearance, regulatory requirements, and market-specific import processes
- Develop processes to support launch-based inbound spikes, limited runs, and demand surges tied to drops
- Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to model landed cost, margin impact, and working capital implications
- Develop contingency plans for customs delays, inspections, or regulatory changes that could impact launch timing or inventory availability
International Trade, Customs & Regulatory Strategy
- Design cross-border supply chain strategies that comply with country-specific customs, import, and regulatory requirements for collectibles
- Partner with Legal, Tax, Finance, and external advisors to determine optimal import structures, entity usage, and compliance approaches for new markets
- Define customs clearance strategies, documentation requirements, and broker models to support high-speed launches and ongoing operations
- Evaluate duties, taxes, fees, and other trade costs and incorporate them into landed cost, pricing, and margin models
- Anticipate and mitigate customs-related risks (holds, delays, inspections, seizures) that could impact customer experience or business performance
- Build repeatable playbooks for entering new countries while accounting for local regulatory nuances
Order Management & Systems Enablement
- Partner with Technology teams to define order management system (OMS) requirements that support collectibles-specific needs, including drops, allocations, customer promise logic, and fraud controls
- Ensure inventory visibility, order routing, and fulfillment logic align with market-specific constraints and customer expectations
- Identify system or process gaps that could limit international growth and drive solutions through tooling, configuration, or new capabilities
Fulfillment & Partner Ecosystem Strategy
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard international fulfillment and logistics partners capable of handling high-value collectibles
- Design fulfillment models that support launch-day volume spikes, rapid order turnaround, and premium packaging requirements
- Lead RFPs, partner selection, and business case development for new markets and capacity expansions
- Define SLAs, performance metrics, and escalation models to protect customer experience during peak demand
- Evaluate partners based on their ability to support local customs, regulatory, and compliance requirements
Returns, Exceptions & Collector Experience
- Design returns, replacements, and exception-handling processes appropriate for collectibles, including damaged product, lost shipments, missing hits, and fraud scenarios
- Partner with Customer Service and Commercial teams to ensure supply chain decisions protect collector trust and brand reputation
- Develop market-specific solutions for customer issues, regulatory requirements, and edge cases
Cross-Functional Leadership & Growth Enablement
- Serve as the supply chain strategy lead for international expansion within Fanatics Collectibles
- Act as a connective tissue between Commercial, Product, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Global Operations teams
- Lead pilots, launch readiness activities, and post-launch retrospectives
- Identify opportunities to standardize, scale, and industrialize solutions as markets mature
Qualifications
Required
- 6–10+ years of experience in supply chain strategy, operations, logistics, or management consulting (level dependent)
- Experience building or scaling supply chains in high-growth, launch-driven environments
- Strong understanding of inbound logistics, fulfillment operations, order management, and reverse logistics
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including cost-to-serve and scenario modeling
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with incomplete data
Preferred
- Experience supporting international expansion and cross-border supply chains
- Exposure to customs, import/export compliance, or trade advisory work (hands-on expertise not required)
- Experience working with international 3PLs, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
- Experience in collectibles, e-commerce, DTC, marketplaces, or premium consumer goods
- Familiarity with HS classification, valuation considerations, and country-specific import processes
- MBA or advanced degree a plus
