Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Ecommerce Assistant Manager to join the Ecommerce Commercial Team. This role will manage key day-to-day commercial workstreams across Topps.com, Fanatics.com, and TikTok Shop, with a focus on business reporting and analysis, product launch support, merchandising, and commercial initiatives.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple workstreams, translate data into actionable recommendations, and identify opportunities to improve performance across DTC channels.

This role will report to the Ecommerce Manager, DTC, and will work closely with Go-To-Market (GTM), Ecommerce Operations, Performance Marketing, Analytics, Lifecycle (CRM), and other cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Business Reporting & Analytics

  • Own daily and weekly DTC reporting across Topps.com, Fanatics.com, and TikTok Shop, tracking key commercial KPIs and delivering clear insights into business performance.
  • Analyze product and SKU-level results across sales velocity, sell-through, product mix, and customer behavior to identify key drivers and areas of opportunity.
  • Deliver weekly business updates with accurate reporting, insights, and relevant historical comparisons.
  • Investigate performance trends and underlying drivers, partnering with Analytics as needed.
  • Build and maintain historical benchmarks to inform commercial planning and decision-making.

Product Launch Support & Analysis

  • Own detailed launch tracking across DTC commercial planning tools, ensuring information remains accurate and current.
  • Manage product performance across DTC channels, including sales velocity, sell-through, customer participation, and results against expectations.
  • Build historical product comparisons and benchmarks to inform Ecommerce recommendations.
  • Lead post-launch analysis, identifying key findings and learnings to inform future releases.

Commercial Analysis & Insights

  • Own analytical workstreams across products, customers, launches, and channels to answer key business questions and inform Ecommerce recommendations.
  • Proactively identify trends and opportunities across the DTC business, translating findings into recommended actions.
  • Analyze customer behavior to identify opportunities across acquisition, retention, product affinity, and incremental growth.
  • Evaluate performance across Topps.com, Fanatics.com, and TikTok Shop to identify channel-specific trends and opportunities.

Merchandising & Commercial Initiatives

  • Own assigned Ecommerce merchandising and commercial initiatives, including cross-sell, upsell, bundles, promotions, and other opportunities to drive customer engagement and incremental sales.
  • Identify new merchandising and commercial opportunities based on customer behavior, product performance, and channel trends.
  • Drive measurement of Ecommerce tests and commercial initiatives, translating results into key learnings and recommended next steps.
  • Lead assigned commercial projects from planning through execution and measurement, partnering cross-functionally as needed.

Business Operations & Tools

  • Own and maintain key commercial planning tools, release calendars, dashboards, trackers, and recurring DTC materials.
  • Drive improvements to recurring commercial processes and reporting to increase team efficiency and visibility.
  • Prepare insights and materials for Ecommerce meetings, business reviews, and leadership discussions.
  • Partner with Analytics on dashboard and reporting enhancements, validating outputs and representing DTC business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation and improved tools.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in ecommerce, commercial planning, merchandising, analytics, business operations, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, with experience organizing and analyzing large data sets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights and recommended actions.
  • Experience with ecommerce performance reporting, merchandising, commercial planning, product launches, or a similar DTC environment.
  • Experience working across multiple ecommerce channels or platforms; experience with social commerce platforms such as TikTok Shop is a plus.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and deadlines and drive projects through completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, Analytics, Marketing, CRM, Merchandising, or Go-To-Market.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations.
  • Experience with reporting, visualization, AI, or automation tools to support analysis and improve efficiency is a plus.
  • Passion for sports, collectibles, and/or ecommerce is a plus.

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.  This salary range is specific to New York City and may not be applicable to other locations.  When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. NYC Salary Range

$100,000 - $120,000 USD
