Role Summary
As part of our IT Operations team, the Security Technology Deployment Specialist will own the validation, standardization, and deployment of physical security technology across the Dallas, TX area. This role bridges the gap between technology selection and production-ready operation, ensuring that every security platform we deploy is rigorously tested, properly integrated with enterprise infrastructure, fully documented, and built to scale with our business.
You'll define the installation standards, configuration baselines, and deployment processes that protect our most valuable assets, both the collectibles that pass through our facilities and the data and people behind them. From access control migrations and intercom upgrades to AI-powered analytics and new application integrations, you'll be the force that ensures our security technology stack keeps pace with the speed at which Fanatics Collectibles grows.
What You'll Do
- Validate and deploy new and replacement security technology platforms, including access control, intercom solutions, video management, cameras, visitor management, and AI/analytics tools across Fanatics Collectibles locations, including manufacturing facilities, fulfillment hubs, and corporate offices.
- Build and maintain staging environments for pre-production testing and validation of all security applications, hardware, firmware, and system configurations before they go live in any facility.
- Define the installation standards, configuration baselines, licensing structures, update procedures, and maintenance requirements for every deployed security platform, and capture them as repeatable playbooks, checklists, configuration templates, and handoff documentation so installations stay consistent across all sites as we open new locations at pace.
- Deploy integrations between security applications, validating that platforms communicate and share data correctly prior to production transitions, with particular attention to the high-value inventory environments unique to the collectibles industry.
- Partner with the teams a deployment depends on, including InfoSec, IT/Identity Management (SSO and application onboarding), Networking, IT Infrastructure, IT Engineering, and Facilities, to clear prerequisites, shepherd new tools through InfoSec review, and integrate each security platform into the enterprise environment.
You May Be a Good Fit If You...
- Have 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying and managing enterprise physical security technology in a large or rapidly growing organization, ideally across diverse facility types (retail, warehouse, authentication) where deployment velocity and repeatability were essential.
- Have run multi-site deployment programs end to end: scoping and managing installers, integrators, and manufacturers to spec and schedule, delivering under aggressive open-at-pace timelines, and forecasting hardware, licensing, and labor costs against a budget.
- Have built standardized deployment processes that enable others to execute installations independently, without constant handholding. Bonus points if you bring scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell) to streamline configuration management and deployment.
- Have worked across InfoSec, IT, Networking, Infrastructure, and Identity Management teams to onboard and integrate security applications into enterprise environments, including SSO integration and InfoSec reviews.
- Possess broad technical experience across security platforms (access control, video management, intercoms, visitor management, AI/analytics, alarm monitoring) and the infrastructure beneath them (IP networking, VLANs, PoE, OSDP, modern credential technologies, and encryption protocols).
- Know what breaks at scale (license ceilings, network and VLAN limits, server capacity) and design deployments and monitoring to catch those constraints before they affect operations.
- Have migrated or upgraded access control, camera, or intercom systems in live, occupied facilities, keeping each site secure throughout the cutover with minimal downtime.
- Are familiar with securing environments that house high-value inventory, such as authentication labs, card grading facilities, or collectibles vaults.
- Have knowledge of SOC 2 compliance, GDPR, PCI DSS, and physical security compliance frameworks relevant to retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods industries.
- Are a strong technical communicator who can define standards clearly enough that project managers, integrators, and service teams execute against them without ambiguity.
