ROLE OVERVIEW
The Category Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of category marketing plans for Mitchell & Ness, ensuring consumer insights, brand storytelling, and commercial priorities converge into cohesive, high-impact strategies across key product categories. This role partners closely with Brand, Product, Merchandising, Creative, and Sales teams to bring category stories to life in a way that is true to the Mitchell & Ness heritage and resonant with today's consumer. The Category Marketing Manager delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)

• Partner cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Product, Merchandising, Creative, and Sales teams to align on shared category goals and drive coordinated execution.
• Quarterback cross-functional stakeholder groups, owning timelines, deliverables, and accountability to ensure on-time results across category initiatives.
• Influence partners without direct authority, building alignment and momentum across teams with different priorities and ways of working.

Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)

• Translate consumer insights and category performance data into clear, actionable marketing recommendations that connect with Mitchell & Ness fans.
• Ensure category marketing initiatives are rooted in Mitchell & Ness brand standards and storytelling, delivering experiences that resonate authentically with the consumer.
• Shape integrated marketing briefs and contribute to campaign and activation planning that drives awareness, engagement, and demand across key product categories.
• Track performance of category initiatives and synthesize learnings to inform future planning and optimize fan-facing outcomes.

Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)

• Contribute creative ideas and fresh thinking to evolve how Mitchell & Ness categories show up across channels and consumer touchpoints.
• Identify opportunities to improve category marketing effectiveness by connecting consumer trends, cultural moments, and brand storytelling in new ways.
• Challenge conventional approaches and bring an entrepreneurial mindset to campaign planning, activation development, and cross-functional problem solving.

Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)

• Own category marketing initiatives independently, managing multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
• Drive execution of seasonal category marketing plans from brief through delivery, ensuring alignment with brand priorities and commercial goals at every stage.
• Maintain rigorous organization and communication across all initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed and projects on track in a fast-paced environment.

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING
Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of related marketing experience, preferably within consumer, lifestyle, sports, or fashion brands.
• Strategic and consumer-focused mindset with demonstrated ability to connect insights to execution and translate data into clear marketing recommendations.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence partners across Brand, Product, Merchandising, and Sales without direct authority.
• Proven experience managing integrated marketing plans, including brief development, campaign planning, and activation execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling category narratives and present ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative thinker with a solid foundation in brand and integrated marketing principles and a genuine enthusiasm for culture, sports, and lifestyle.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

WORK LOCATION

Hybrid: The primary place of performance of this role is the Company's office located in Philadelphia, PA, subject to the Company's current hybrid work policy. This role currently requires in-office presence Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
