Seasonal EHS/LP Specialist

As we continue to scale our global platform, the seasonal EHS/LP Specialist will play a critical role in safeguarding facility operations through loss prevention, physical security, and environmental health and safety compliance.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The seasonal EHS/LP Specialist is responsible for overseeing physical security, shrink reduction, and environmental health and safety standards within their assigned facility. This role serves as the primary Loss Prevention and EHS lead for the night shift, holding full ownership of safety compliance, incident response, and shrink-reduction efforts during hours when no other LP/EHS leadership is present on-site, while acting as a strategic partner across all departments to ensure practices meet Fanatics standards and comply with all governing bodies. The EHS/LP Specialist delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)
- Partner cross-functionally with all site departments to embed loss prevention and safety practices into daily operations, fostering a strong shrink-reduction and safety culture throughout the facility.
- Lead the site's Safety Committee and First Responder team, ensuring full certification compliance and serving as the on-floor Subject Matter Expert for associate safety.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to manage workers' compensation claims and support corrective action implementation resulting from incident investigations.
Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)
- Maintain a secure and safe facility environment that protects associates, visitors, vendors, and guests, providing immediate aid and medical response as needed.
- Verify inventory integrity within the location to ensure product availability and accuracy that supports a reliable fan experience.
- Serve as the facility's representative for local community safety councils and governmental or outside safety inspections, reinforcing Fanatics' commitment to operational excellence.
Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)
- Utilize CCTV systems and exception reports to proactively monitor behavior, identify unusual activity, and mitigate shrink across the facility.
- Conduct risk assessments for jobs performed and new equipment introductions, recommending risk mitigation measures including ergonomic considerations to continuously improve safety outcomes.
- Lead accident and incident investigations using the 5 Why system; compile, analyze, interpret, and report findings, tracking corrective actions through to completion.
Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)
- Act as the designated LP and EHS lead for the night shift, maintaining full ownership of safety compliance and shrink-reduction efforts when day-shift leadership is off-site.
- Maintain and report daily, weekly, and monthly LP and safety metrics for the facility and network; identify hazardous conditions and develop controls to reduce associate exposure to unsafe conditions.
- Manage internal and external investigation programs targeting reduction of theft and fraud, and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations through regular audits.
- Conduct training and coaching associates on work habits that comply with OSHA requirements and Fanatics SOPs, ensuring all required certifications and regulatory standards are met.

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of applicable experience in loss prevention, environmental health and safety, or a related field within a warehouse or distribution center environment, with demonstrated ability to manage both LP and EHS responsibilities concurrently.
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, with hands-on experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and hazard control implementation.
- Proven ability to lead incident investigations using structured methodologies such as the 5 Why system, compile findings, and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Experience managing internal and external theft and fraud investigation programs, including use of CCTV and exception reporting tools to identify and mitigate shrink.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated comfort interfacing with site leadership, governmental inspectors, and community safety representatives.
- Ability to work the night shift, including flexible and non-regular hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs require, and to respond to facility-related emergencies at any time.
- Wicklander-Zulawski certification preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.
Education:
BS/BA degree in criminal justice, industrial safety, or a related field, or 2+ years of applicable work experience in lieu of degree.
