The Role

We are looking for a Principal Product Leader to join the Fanatics Betting & Gaming sportsbook team, where Product, Design and engineering work closely together to deliver high-quality, customer-focused betting experiences. As part of one of the fastest-growing sportsbooks in the industry, you will play a critical role in shaping and evolving the core customer journey within our platform.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for a critical, high-frequency area of the experience that sits at the heart of the sportsbook. You will define how customers interact with, transact on, and engage with our product — ensuring the experience is intuitive, reliable, scalable, and commercially impactful.

You will be responsible for setting the long-term vision for this domain, overseeing multiple product teams, and ensuring delivery aligns with clear customer and business outcomes. This is a high-impact leadership role with significant visibility across senior stakeholders and meaningful influence on the direction of the Sportsbook.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across UX, Engineering, Data, Trading, Commercial, Marketing, and Operations to evolve key journeys, improve performance, and deliver measurable value grounded in insight, experimentation, and strong product judgment.

What You’ll Do

As a Principal Product Leader, you will define and drive the strategy for a critical area of the sportsbook, ensuring it delivers exceptional customer value and measurable business impact.

You'll work with Product and Commercial leadership to understand the strategy for the business to succeed over a 1, 3 and 5 year period. From this, you will build & own the vision and roadmap for your domain, balancing innovation, optimization, scalability, and operational excellence.

You will prepare and deliver clear, structured executive presentations that articulate domain strategy, roadmap priorities, performance insights, and key tradeoffs — influencing senior stakeholders through data-driven narratives and strong product judgment.

You will oversee multiple product managers and teams, ensuring clarity of ownership, disciplined prioritization, and strong outcome-driven execution.

You will establish clear success metrics and hold teams accountable for measurable improvements in engagement, experience quality, and commercial performance.

You will embed customer insight, experimentation, and analytics deeply into product decisions, raising the bar for product craft across the domain.

You will partner closely with Engineering leadership to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of high-traffic transactional systems.

You will work across Data, CRM, Commercial, Platform, and Operations teams to deliver cross-cutting initiatives and align investments with enterprise priorities.

You will clearly articulate strategy, priorities, tradeoffs, and risk to senior leadership, influencing decisions through strong judgment and structured thinking.

You will mentor and develop senior product managers, scaling your impact through strong delegation, coaching, and accountability.

You will proactively manage dependencies and sequencing across complex systems, ensuring alignment without slowing momentum.

This role requires a strong strategic mindset combined with deep product craft expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to operate effectively at both executive and execution levels.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in various Product Management roles, ideally owning complex, high-scale customer-facing digital products.
  • Proven experience leading multiple product teams or senior product leaders within a defined domain.
  • Demonstrated ownership of high-frequency transactional experiences with measurable business impact.
  • Strong commercial acumen and fluency in data-driven product development and experimentation.
  • A structured, strategic thinker who can navigate complexity and make clear, high-quality tradeoff decisions.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional leaders.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with meaningful scale and performance requirements.
  • Experience in sports betting, gaming, fintech, ecommerce, or similarly complex digital platforms is preferred.

Depending on the role, your interview and onboarding experience may include in-person components, such as onsite interviews or Launching into Better: LIVE—a multi-day cultural immersion in New York City for full-time, non-seasonal hires. These sessions are designed to build connection and bring our culture to life, though specific travel and participation requirements will be confirmed based on your role and location. Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
