The Role

As a Senior Experience Designer at Fanatics, you will play a critical role in shaping how fans experience identity, loyalty, and cross-product journeys across the Fanatics ecosystem. You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, systems design, and execution, designing experiences that scale across multiple products, brands, and platforms while remaining intuitive, accessible, and fan-first.

You’ll work on the Fanatics App and the Fanatics ONE ecosystem, a connected platform spanning Free-to-Play games, live events, commerce, collectibles, and emerging experiences. This role is deeply focused on platform and SDK-powered design, where the goal is to design once and enable teams to ship everywhere with confidence and consistency.

This is a senior individual-contributor role for designers who think in systems, patterns, and long-term impact, not just screens. Your work will directly influence member growth, FanCash engagement, cross-tenant adoption, and the overall coherence of the Fanatics ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:
Lead Experience Design for Platform and Ecosystem Surfaces

  • Design cross-tenant, user-facing experiences delivered through the Fanatics ONE SDK, including identity, authentication, loyalty, FanCash earning and redemption, and ecosystem navigation.
  • Translate complex platform and product requirements into clear, scalable interaction models that work across multiple products and contexts.
  • Define how core ecosystem experiences show up consistently while allowing for appropriate brand expression at the tenant level.

Design Systems, Not Just Screens

  • Create modular, reusable UX patterns and components that reduce duplicate design and engineering work.
  • Think holistically about states, edge cases, unhappy paths, and extensibility from the start.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape SDK component APIs and define where functionality belongs from an experience perspective.

Drive Consistency and Quality Across the Ecosystem

  • Advocate for cohesive, accessible, and predictable experiences as fans move across Fanatics products.
  • Reinforce Fanatics ONE value propositions through repeatable patterns, clear messaging, and intuitive flows.
  • Contribute to experience standards, accessibility compliance, and UX best practices across the platform.

Prototype, Test, and Iterate with Intent

  • Build high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to validate concepts across multiple tenant contexts.
  • Partner with UX Research to evaluate usability, comprehension, and cross-tenant effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Iterate based on data, research insights, and feedback from product and engineering partners.

Collaborate, Enable, and Raise the Bar

  • Work cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and engineers across Fanatics op-cos.
  • Facilitate design reviews, working sessions, and workshops to align teams around shared patterns and principles.
  • Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices that help teams adopt SDK-powered experiences.
  • Mentor other designers and contribute to a culture of strong systems thinking and craft excellence.

How We Measure Success

  • Adoption of SDK-designed components across Fanatics products
  • Improved consistency and usability of identity and loyalty experiences
  • Increased Fanatics ONE membership growth and login adoption
  • Higher FanCash awareness, usage, and retention
  • Reduced time to design and ship cross-tenant experiences
  • Strong accessibility and usability outcomes across ecosystem surfaces

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience designing digital products across web and mobile
  • Strong background in systems design, platform design, or design systems
  • Experience designing identity, authentication, loyalty, payments, or rewards experiences is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to design reusable components that scale across multiple products and teams
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
  • Comfort collaborating closely with engineers and understanding frontend and platform constraints
  • Comfort collaborating closely with product managers and understanding business priorities alongside customer needs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design rationale to diverse audiences
  • High proficiency in Figma and rapid prototyping tools
  • An agile mindset and comfort operating in fast-moving, evolving environments
  • A team-first mentality with a bias toward clarity, impact, and shared success

At Fanatics, we value transparency and honesty. If you don’t meet every single requirement, that’s okay – we still want to hear from you! We believe in the power of diverse experiences and talents. If you’re excited about the role and confident that you can contribute, don’t hesitate to apply. We’re genuinely interested in how your unique skills and perspective can help us build something amazing together.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
