Overview

As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in the close operations and financial reporting for Fanatics’ Betting & Gaming (“FBG”). This is a hands-on role with primary ownership of joint venture and non-controlling interest accounting, consolidation accounting, intercompany activity, and financial/statutory reporting, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of our financials across a complex, multi-entity structure.

You will serve as a key connector across the organization — partnering with the Sr. Director of Accounting on financial reporting, working closely with Shared Services and Technical Accounting on complex transactions, and collaborating with Finance and business stakeholders to ensure activity is properly captured in the financials. This role offers the opportunity to build deep expertise across consolidation, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting in a fast-growing, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review journal entries prepared by the Staff Accountant for accuracy, completeness, and proper support prior to posting
  • Own joint venture and non-controlling interest accounting, including NCI allocations and related financial statement presentation
  • Manage the consolidation and elimination process across all FBG legal entities, ensuring intercompany balances are properly reconciled and eliminated each close cycle
  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations across assigned areas, monitoring reconciliation status and ensuring timely resolution of open items
  • Prepare quarterly flux analysis across key balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying and explaining significant variances and trends to support financial review
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including state-level reporting requirements
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls (including SOX) across consolidation and intercompany accounting processes
  • Support and coordinate the external audit process, preparing audit schedules and serving as a primary point of contact for auditor requests in areas of ownership
  • Collaborate with Shared Services on transactional and intercompany accounting and with Technical Accounting on complex or non-routine transactions
  • Partner with Finance on budgets and forecasts, providing accounting context and ensuring alignment between actuals and plan
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to stay ahead of operational and structural developments and ensure they are appropriately captured in the financials
  • Identify and drive process improvements across consolidation, intercompany, and close workflows to support accuracy, efficiency, and scale
  • Support and develop team members, helping build a high-performing accounting function

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated ownership of close processes and financial statement preparation
  • Strong foundation in US GAAP; IFRS knowledge a plus
  • Experience in financial services, gaming, or other regulated industries with complex multi-entity structures strongly preferred
  • Experience with consolidation accounting and NCI strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with financial systems and ERP platforms preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple entities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance, accounting, and business teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and proactively manage through ambiguity

Depending on the role, your interview and onboarding experience may include in-person components, such as onsite interviews or Launching into Better: LIVE—a multi-day cultural immersion in New York City for full-time, non-seasonal hires. These sessions are designed to build connection and bring our culture to life, though specific travel and participation requirements will be confirmed based on your role and location. Your recruiter will provide clear guidance at each stage of the process.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
