We're hiring a Senior Director, Content & Social to build and run the organization responsible for winning mindshare. This leader owns the full portfolio: original content production, creator partnerships, community/discourse channels (X, Discord, Reddit), and the paid amplification layer that supports all of it.

What You'll Own

Strategy & Measurement

  • Own the scoreboard: connect content/social performance (reach, non-follower reach, engagement) to unaided awareness and be fluent enough in both content and commercial metrics to defend that investment
  • Build and maintain competitive benchmarking (share of voice, response time, engagement on comparable content) against the fastest-moving players in our space
  • Manage a mix of FTEs and agency partners - know when to build in-house vs. buy.
  • Build the business case for incremental investment (staff, production, paid media, talent) using content and commercial metrics side by side. You should be as comfortable defending a budget ask to a CFO-minded stakeholder as you are giving creative notes
  • Manage an annual portfolio across production, talent, paid boosting, and staffing

Content Engine

  • Scale original content output with a defined static/video mix) without sacrificing quality or brand distinctiveness
  • Build repeatable, sustained formats (not one-offs) grounded in customer psychology and use our core differentiators as recurring proof points where applicable

Creator & Talent

  • Run a volume-based creator program alongside our signature talent partnerships, sourcing and vetting creators for fit, risk, and commercial upside
  • Own the function end to end: briefs, approvals, agency management, and roster development

Real-Time & Competitive Response

  • Build and run the real-time response playbook across platforms
  • Build a programmatic publishing + paid amplification engine triggered by performance thresholds

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years in social/content leadership, ideally with direct experience in sports, betting, gaming, or a comparably fast-moving, discourse-heavy category (streaming news, culture media, or a "newsroom-speed" digital brand).
  • A track record of building or scaling a content/social org from a small existing team into a larger, structured operation
  • Fluency in both content metrics (reach, engagement, non-follower reach, share of voice) and commercial outcomes (handle, awareness, LTV) and the ability to translate between the two for executive audiences
  • Fluency in X, Discord, and reddit as discourse platforms
  • Experience managing creator programs at volume (sourcing, vetting, negotiating, briefing) rather than one-off influencer campaigns
  • Comfort operating in regulated/compliance-heavy content environments (gaming, finance, alcohol, or similar) is a strong plus
  • A point of view on sports + cultural discourse sufficient to hire and direct a team that can operate credibly in both dimensions
  • Direct people management experience - this role builds and leads a team of 10+ across FTEs and agency/contractor partners.

Depending on the role, your interview and onboarding experience may include in-person components, such as onsite interviews or Launching into Better: LIVE—a multi-day cultural immersion in New York City for full-time, non-seasonal hires. These sessions are designed to build connection and bring our culture to life, though specific travel and participation requirements will be confirmed based on your role and location. Your recruiter will provide clear guidance at each stage of the process.
