Summary

Serves as the primary People Ops technical liaison to IT/Corporate on all HRIS/HCM matters, and as the vendor point of contact across the People Systems portfolio (Deel, Lattice, AllVoices, ticketing/AI tooling, and future platforms), partnering with Corporate's Oracle HCM team on that platform specifically. Leads requirements definition and vendor evaluation for RFPs, delivering recommendations to leadership. Works cross-functionally across the broader People team (Talent Acquisition, People Experience, People Business Partners, and People Operations) in addition to shared services partners. Partners closely with IT on the design and rollout of People Systems workflow enhancements and automations, and with the AI team on People Ops AI enablement, including supporting ongoing triage of the AI/chatbot tool. Brings strong technical fluency across the People Systems architecture to evaluate proposals and troubleshoot issues independently, bridging IT, Corporate, vendors, and People Ops stakeholders to keep People Systems initiatives moving.

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as the primary People Ops technical liaison for all People Systems matters — integrations, data structure changes, permissioning, and system-related escalations
  • Develop and maintain strong technical fluency across Oracle HCM, Deel, and the broader People Systems architecture — sufficient technical depth to partner credibly with IT on system design, evaluate proposals, and diagnose issues independently
  • Partner with stakeholders on the design, prioritization, and rollout of People Systems workflow enhancements and automations, contributing People Ops requirements, use-case input, and user acceptance testing
  • Assess and communicate downstream impacts of People Systems changes across the People team, Finance, and IT, including test validation in lower environments ahead of go-live
  • Manage People Systems process improvement projects from ideation through adoption — defining scope, identifying stakeholders, tracking milestones, flagging issues, owning change management, and post-launch audits.
  • Partner with Corporate's Oracle HCM team on system configuration, enhancements, and roadmap alignment, serving as the People Ops-side technical partner on that platform
  • Act as first point of triage when system or tooling issues arise: diagnose whether the issue is data, configuration, vendor, or IT-integration related, and route to the correct owner for resolution

Vendor & RFP Management

  • Own vendor relationships across the People-specific systems portfolio (Deel, AllVoices, ticketing/AI tooling, and similar), and partner with Corporate on Oracle HCM vendor management specifically
  • Lead RFPs for new or replacement People Systems tools: define requirements, run vendor evaluations and demos, and deliver a final recommendation to leadership
  • Provide vendor selection rationale and requirements context to Procurement to support final contract negotiation and terms

AI Enablement

  • Support our AI/chatbot and ticketing solution — assisting with implementation, testing, and knowledge-base/data configuration
  • Serve as the ongoing triage point for the AI bot post-launch, diagnosing and routing issues to the correct owner
  • Partner with the AI team to evaluate additional AI tools and use cases for People Ops; translate AI team capabilities into practical, adopted enhancements for the People function

Process Enhancement & Enablement

  • Document system changes, vendor decisions, and troubleshooting playbooks for People Ops stakeholders
  • Communicate system and process changes clearly to non-technical audiences across People Ops
  • Partner with the People team to identify and implement enhancements to broader People Operations processes and workflows, improving efficiency and the employee experience
  • Partner to periodically assess People Systems and processes against organizational growth (headcount increases, new entities, M&A integration) — identifying scalability gaps and recommending proactive enhancements before they become operational constraints

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years in HRIS/People Systems roles, with demonstrated experience owning vendor relationships and/or leading RFP processes
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle HCM or a comparable HCM platform — architecture, permissioning, and integration points — sufficient to evaluate technical proposals and troubleshoot issues independently
  • Experience overseeing change management with strong partnerships across various stakeholders
  • Experience partnering with IT/engineering teams on system integrations and workflow or automation enhancement projects
  • Comfort operating with limited precedent and no fixed playbook for every issue
  • Hands-on experience applying AI Tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to real workflows - e.g., building or configuring an AI-driven automation, prompt-based process, or integration, with a measurable outcome such as time saved or error reduction.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years related experience, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with partner teams vendor systems (Qualtrics, Jira Service Management, OKTA, etc).
  • Experience in a matrixed org where systems ownership is split between HR, Corporate and IT across multiple operating companies
  • Exposure to global/multi-entity HR data structures (EOR, international payroll)
  • Prior experience triaging vendor or platform issues (i.e., knowing when something is a vendor problem vs. an internal configuration problem)
