About the Team

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.

About the Role

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is hiring a Sr. Manager, Strategy & Operations to work directly with VIP leadership on how we acquire, grow the loyalty of, and retain our highest-value customers.

This is a strategy and operations role built around owning outcomes end to end: from the strategy itself through execution to the measurable results it drives. The person in this role will use AI and technology as core working tools to help build the experiences that make our top customers choose Fanatics, whether they're playing or trading, over any other option in the market.

What you'll do

  • Partner directly with VIP leadership to define and execute strategy for acquiring, growing the loyalty of, and retaining top-tier customers
  • Run a variety of concurrent projects spanning analysis, strategy, partnerships, and hands-on build work, shifting between them as priorities shift
  • Own outcomes end to end: from strategy design through execution through measurable results
  • Learn the business inside and out, understand what actually drives our customers, and use that understanding to shape what gets built and why
  • Use AI and technology as core working tools to build models, analyses, and workflows that improve how the VIP team identifies, engages, and serves high-value customers
  • Work cross-functionally with Data, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ship VIP initiatives
  • Operate within a highly regulated environment, with sound judgment on responsible gaming considerations built into strategic and operational decisions

Who you are

  • 5-8 years of experience, with a technical or engineering-adjacent background
  • AI-native: you use AI tools daily, not occasionally, and can point to something you personally built or shipped with them, along with a measurable outcome, not just a tool you used
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, moving fast, and making calls with incomplete information in a high-growth environment
  • Able to move fluidly across different types of work, analytical, operational, relationship-driven, technical, prioritizing across competing demands and following through to completion rather than moving on once the interesting part is done
  • Able to drive outcomes across teams without formal authority, through persistence, relationship-building, and clear prioritization, not just by waiting for alignment
  • Bias toward speed and execution: moves fast, removes blockers, and keeps initiatives moving even when the path isn't fully defined
  • Data fluency: understands how our systems and data structures work, SQL or Python experience expected, not just reliance on AI to generate answers
  • Excellent communicator who can work directly with senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to scope a problem and strategy, not just execute a spec, including identifying what actually matters to the end user or business before building

These sessions are designed to build connection and bring our culture to life, though specific travel and participation requirements will be confirmed based on your role and location. Ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual offer is confirmed. Salary Range

$133,000 - $167,000 USD
