About the Role

At Fanatics Core, we build the secure, scalable platform that powers sports fans everywhere. As we grow into new international markets, we need a senior technical leader to turn our expansion strategy into launches that happen on time and stay compliant.

As Senior Staff TPM for International Expansion, you’ll own the technical program for taking Fanatics Core into new markets around the world. You’ll work with senior leaders across Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Operations, and with external vendors and regulators. Together you’ll work out what each market requires, design a repeatable launch playbook, and run the cross-functional effort to deliver it. You’ll make sure our platform can handle the regulatory, data, payments and localization needs of every region we enter.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the international launch program from start to finish. Lead market launches from early assessment through go-live and stabilization. Set the scope, milestones, dependencies and success criteria for each market.
  • Turn regulation into engineering requirements. Work with Legal and Compliance to convert market-specific rules into clear technical requirements. These include licensing, geolocation, data residency, privacy (e.g., GDPR), KYC/AML, responsible gaming and audit/reporting.
  • Build a repeatable expansion playbook. Design a scalable model for market entry, with reusable architecture patterns, configuration-driven market setup and standard launch-readiness checklists, so each launch gets faster and cheaper than the last.
  • Manage vendors and third-party integrations. Run technical delivery with external partners such as payment providers, identity verification, geolocation, content/data feeds and local hosting. Hold them to timelines, SLAs and compliance obligations.
  • Drive platform readiness. Partner with Core Engineering on the shared platform capabilities expansion needs: multi-region infrastructure, multi-currency and multi-language support, regional payments, tax and reporting.
  • Ensure launch quality and operational readiness. Set up go-live criteria, cutover plans, hypercare and post-launch reviews, so new markets launch reliably and meet regulatory uptime and reporting requirements.
  • Align senior stakeholders. Build strong relationships inside and outside Engineering. Communicate clearly with executives on status, risks, trade-offs and decisions across multiple concurrent market programs.
  • Lead with data. Define and report on the KPIs that measure expansion progress and health, such as time-to-market, launch readiness, compliance findings and post-launch stability.
  • Raise the bar on program management. Mentor other TPMs and help strengthen planning, delivery and governance practices across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical program management experience, including leading large, cross-functional programs at a senior/staff level
  • 12+ years working directly with software engineering teams on complex, distributed systems
  • Proven track record launching products or platforms in multiple international markets, ideally in regulated industries
  • Experience translating regulatory and compliance requirements into technical delivery plans
  • Experience managing external vendors and third-party technical integrations
  • Strong technical grounding in cloud platforms, distributed/microservice architectures and enterprise software, enough to credibly challenge engineering designs and trade-offs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence executives and explain complex technical and regulatory issues to non-technical audiences
  • Experience running programs with tools such as Jira and Confluence across multiple SDLC methodologies
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally, for market launches, partner meetings and team events

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in sports betting, iGaming, fintech, payments or other highly regulated, high-availability industries
  • Familiarity with international gaming or financial regulators and licensing processes (e.g., UKGC, MGA, AGCO/iGaming Ontario, or similar)
  • Experience with data residency, multi-region deployment and privacy frameworks such as GDPR
  • Experience with regional payment methods, multi-currency, tax and localization at scale
  • Experience in organizations with multiple P&Ls and shared platform services, balancing market-specific needs against a common core
  • Experience running launch readiness, cutover and hypercare for high-traffic, customer-facing systems
  • Experience in a scaled Agile environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities and fast-moving markets
  • Working proficiency in a second language is a plus
