Position Overview:

As the Principal 3D Modeler, you will be a core team member to help create our game’s visual aesthetic. You will work closely with the Art Director, concept artists, designers, and internal & external modelers to create iconic characters, unique creatures, and key landmarks for our brand new MMO! 

You'll spearhead the creation of hand-crafted, heroically realistic, 3D assets and help guide the game's artistic direction, blending technical skill with creative vision. This role is for those ready to contribute across the board and wear multiple hats in a highly collaborative, dynamic environment.

You will help set standards, define best practices, and execute at an incredibly high level, creating best-in-class game models and sculptures for our upcoming MMO, codenamed GHOST.

Principal 3D Modeler Responsibilities:

• This is a hands-on role where you will help drive the creation of subtly stylized, high-quality, visually compelling models that help define the artistic vision of GHOST 
• Collaborate with the Art Director and the creative team to establish and refine the overall style and visual identity of the game’s 3D content
• Create captivating 3D models that push industry standards for quality, speed, and character 
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of anatomy, shapes, materials, and textures, ensuring that designs are both realistic and uniquely expressive
• Utilize advanced texturing techniques and 3D software tools to enhance the visual appeal of characters, creatures, and structures
• Help create and refine asset pipelines in the Unreal Engine to ensure seamless integration of 3D assets into our incredible performant game environment  

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in the video game industry
• Proven experience in a Lead or Principal 3D Artist role with a stellar portfolio showcasing exceptional character design and modeling skills 
• Foster strong and transparent communication channels with internal artists and external partners, providing clear feedback, guidance, and support
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional artistic skills, showcasing shipped AAA titles or other relevant projects
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on character customization in an MMO or RPG is a big plus
• Strong understanding and practical experience with next-generation asset creation workflows in and out of Unreal
• Passion for gaming (especially MMOs), with an awareness of current industry trends and an understanding of player expectations
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, able to adapt quickly to new technologies, workflows, and ideas
• Develop and maintain end to end documentation for internal artists and external partners for the creation of a variety of 3D assets

US Salary Band: $124,000 - 220,000 USD

Canada Salary Band: $99,000 - 170,000 CAD

The expected annual base pay ranges reflected in this job description are applicable to individuals residing in or working within a designated location. Any final compensation offer will depend on various factors.
