Faraday X (FX) is Faraday Future's initiative to promote advanced intelligent electric vehicles (AIEVs) in the U.S. market through strategic partnerships, an open-source approach, and a commitment to making luxury EVs accessible to the mass market. By leveraging FF's existing technology and expertise, Faraday X fosters close collaboration within the global supply chain to create cost-effective B-AIEV and RE-AIEV products.
Your Role:
As the Junior Buyer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to lead technical and administrative launch activities for the best electric vehicles on the planet. Basically, you’ll ensure we get the most exiting cars in the world on the road in FF expected, premium quality and time.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop relationships with top quality suppliers.
• Develop, mentor and support efficient and high performing suppliers.
• Competitively negotiate, evaluate, and issue PO’s for the Automotive Industry (specifically, Chassis, Powertrain, Interior, Exterior, and Electrical).
• Administer and support the RFQ and sourcing council process.
• Follow and create process for purchasing team from start to finish.
• Release orders for materials, tooling and other to meet company objectives.
• Facilitate the timely delivery of parts and components for prototype and production deliverables.
• Coordinate with your suppliers’ Bill of Material engineering changes to procure qualified parts on time.
• Work closely, and communicate efficiently with all internal and external stakeholder(s).
• Lead contract negotiations as assigned by line Manager.

On Time Delivery: Ensure stakeholder(s) (internal and external) receive products or services within expected timelines.
On Time Ordering: Confirm that orders are completed and received.
Milestones: Manage teams to meet company milestones.
SAP Supplier Setup and Management: Aid in launching SAP.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain.
- 1-3 years’ experience desired in automotive related tooling and material purchasing/sourcing.
- 1-3 years’ experience with contract negotiation, pricing, cost management, delivery, SAP, MPR/ERP and etc.
- Strong supply chain and automotive background.
- Past experience with On-line bidding, RFI, RFP/RFQ process
- Must be proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent negotiation, written, and verbal skills.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Exceptional organizational ability with good follow-up skills and attention to details are a must.
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel.
- Teamwork, cooperation, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good sense of humor are a MUST in our company!
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA degree is a plus.
- Language proficiency in Spanish, German, or Chinese a plus.
- Manufacturing experience in area of placement preferred.
- A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
- A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
- A genuine fascination for the supply chain field and a commitment to global change
Annual Salary Range:
($69K - $78K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
