Capital Development Analyst
Location: Hoboken, NJ (On-Site)
Team: Capital Development
Reports To: Capital Development Leadership
About Faropoint:
Meaningful Relationships. Ownership. Curiosity. Tenacity.
These are the four pillars that drive Faropoint—one of the fastest-growing industrial real estate private equity firms and a top-50 industrial owner in the U.S. We are relationship-oriented, data-driven, and committed to evolving how capital is raised and deployed in the industrial real estate space.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Capital Development Analyst to join our Capital Development team in Hoboken. This is a hands-on operational role focused on the systems, data, and workflows that power our capital development efforts. You’ll be responsible for keeping our Salesforce CRM clean and actionable, logging and summarizing key meetings, supporting coordination efforts, and most importantly—identifying where technology and AI can streamline and improve what we do every day.
Your work will be central to enabling the team to function at its best. We’re looking for someone who is structured, thoughtful, and proactive, with a strong desire to bring efficiency and automation to everything they touch.
Key Responsibilities:
CRM and Data Management
- Own the upkeep and organization of the Salesforce CRM, including investor records, opportunity tracking, and status updates.
- Log meeting notes and action items promptly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Generate reports and dashboards to help the team stay aligned on follow-ups and priorities.
Meeting Support & Internal Coordination
- Attend internal capital development meetings to document discussions, summarize next steps, and support team alignment.
- Work with executive assistants and other team members to help schedule, prepare for, and track progress across internal capital-related initiatives.
- Assist with compiling information for investor materials when needed, though not client-facing.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify repetitive or manual tasks in day-to-day workflows—and suggest or implement ways to automate them using tools like ChatGPT, Zapier, or Notion AI.
- Develop and refine AI prompts and templates to improve team productivity (e.g., email drafting, meeting recaps, status summaries).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to test and scale automation initiatives without disrupting business operations.
Research & Project Support
- Conduct light research to support capital development strategies (e.g., conference intelligence, competitor insights).
- Assist in organizing internal knowledge and reference materials for future use.
About You:
Mindset & Approach
- You think in systems: you notice inefficiencies and instinctively look for ways to improve them.
- You take pride in operational excellence—accuracy, follow-through, and clean data matter to you.
- You enjoy working behind the scenes to make processes run better and faster.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or another analytical or operational discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in operations, business analysis, investor support, capital markets, or a related function.
- Experience working in a CRM platform (preferably Salesforce), including managing data and building reports.
- Clear and concise written communication skills, especially for summarizing meetings and writing process documentation.
Technical and AI Proficiency
- Demonstrated experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Claude) and prompt writing for structured tasks.
- Familiarity with workflow tools like Zapier, Airtable Automations, or Google Apps Script is a plus.
- Comfortable learning and applying new technologies to real business use cases.
Why Join Us:
This is a role for someone who finds satisfaction in being the engine room of a high-performing team—where clarity, consistency, and automation matter more than visibility. You’ll be supported by colleagues who value systems thinkers and given room to introduce smart changes that make the whole team more effective.
Compensation:
- This position offers a base salary in the $75,000-$115,000 range, plus discretionary bonus, competitive healthcare benefits, unlimited PTO, and a 401k match.
Equal Opportunity Employer:
Faropoint is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diversity, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, parental status, disability status, or any other status protected by local law. We believe that our work is better and our company culture is improved when we encourage, support, and respect the different skills and experiences represented within our workforce.
