ROLE OVERVIEW
The People & Culture Generalist (PCG) is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support and fostering a culture of engagement, inclusion, and compliance across the organization. This role will oversee core HR functions such as onboarding, off-boarding, employee relations support, records management, and compliance monitoring, while also driving initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and workplace culture. The PCG will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, ensuring a seamless employee experience that aligns with organizational values and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, answering general HR-related questions regarding I-9 documentation, leaves of absence (LOA), benefits, payroll, system access, and badge replacements.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including data entry, document processing, and maintaining HR records.
- Assist in onboarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed efficiently.
- Assist in monitoring HR compliance, maintaining records, and ensuring adherence to labor laws, company policies, and best practices.
- Handle basic employee relations matters by addressing inquiries and escalating concerns to HR leadership when necessary.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and internal programs as needed.
- Proactively propose event ideas and engagement strategies for leadership review and approval, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute company-wide employee engagement events throughout the year (e.g., holiday parties, team-building events, wellness initiatives, appreciation days, and milestone celebrations).
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative or HR support role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements, including I-9 verification and LOA policies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling employee concerns.
- Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating corporate events, preferably for 500+ employees in a creative, high-growth, or fast-paced environment.
