ROLE OVERVIEW 

Oversees the IT operations department at the Fashion Nova Distribution Center.   The IT Manager’s staff is responsible for supporting   the company’s warehouse computer systems, RF devices, workstations, mobile devices, printers, data communication networks and related application programs.

It is typically the responsibility of IT Manager to hire, train and evaluate IT staff, assign tasks, and arrange schedules that supports 24 hour a day 7 days a week operation. In addition, the IT Manager performs assessments on company systems to ensure proper operations and to identify any issues that need to be addressed. The IT Manager reports to the Director of IT Operations and is responsible for all level one IT support for the distribution center. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide level one IT support for all systems in the distribution center.
  • Administer, manage and maintain the end-user computing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain network connectivity including wireless connectivity.  
  • Manage and administer Google/Windows/Apple environments, enterprise Mobile App Store, device enrollments and resolve complex mobile OS specific issues.
  • Continual monitoring of incidents and tickets ensuring service levels are met.
  • Ensure high availability for all IT systems that support the material handling equipment. 
  • Track and maintain appropriate levels of hardware inventory to support the operations of the distribution center.
  • Update and maintain accurate the inventory tracking system.
  • Manage and maintain MDM tools such as JAMF and SOTI MobiControl
  • Partner with other business functions to evaluate, prioritize and resolve new issues & problem scenarios.
  • Owns the escalation triage process for critical issues, both internally and externally.
  • Selecting staff and providing work assignments.
  • Directing the work of information technology personnel, setting priorities, and coordinating their activities.
  • Evaluating and verifying employee performances through performance evaluation techniques.
  • Monitoring, patching, and maintaining compute systems using tools such as NinjaOne or WSUS.
  • Responsible for equipment repair and replacement of information technology components.
  • Responsible for the IT purchasing at the distribution center.
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems with malfunctioning components
  • Responsible for the scheduling of the IT staff to ensure coverage for 24-hour operations.  
  • Support Warehouse Execution System (WES) – COFE
  • Support Warehouse Management (WMS) – Koerber

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as an IT Manager in a distribution center 
  • 7 years of experience supervising individuals or teams.
  • 10+ years of experience working with warehouse and distribution center systems.
  • Strong customer service skills

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Strong understanding of material handling equipment and its peripherals including pack stations, printers, mobility, and RF devices.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management software.  
  • Strong understanding of best practice IT Service Management including the ITIL framework.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with all levels in the company.
  • Ability to manage and implement MDM technologies.  
  • Strong understanding of networking, WIFI, and other infrastructure technologies.  
  • Strong understanding of WMS and WES systems
  • Schedule of this position: Monday – Friday | Core business hours
