Job Summary
As an FCC Pre-Academy/Academy Goalkeeping Coach, you are responsible for coaching and developing the FCC pre-academy goalkeepers U8 through U12 in the FCC GK philosophy. This individual will be leading the weekly training sessions, introductory sessions and supporting the pre-academy director at all sessions. The FCC Pre-Academy Goalkeeping Coach will work closely with the FCC Academy Goalkeeping Coaches and assist all FCC goalkeeping coaches at the club when needed. This role will demand a high level of energy and want to create the standards and culture in the FCC goalkeeping department from the grass roots. In addition, this role will include scouting & recruitment of goalkeepers for the FCC academy, liaise with fellow FCC goalkeeper coaches to ensure continuity of player development from academy through to the 1st Team.
What You’ll Do:
- Design Pre-Academy goalkeeper training plans for age bands U8 through U12
- Lead U8 through U12 Pre-Academy goalkeepers during all training sessions (and games)
- Work closely with Pre-Academy director Adrian Parrish in setting up and running of all Pre-Academy Sessions
- In addition, support all FCC goalkeeping coaches
- Create a Pre-Academy goalkeeping curriculum alongside the FCC Academy GK coaches
- Document all training sessions
- Contribute to discussions of GK's to be added to the FCC Academy
- Aid in goalkeeper scouting/recruitment within the Academy. This will include planning and implementing goalkeeper try-outs, clinics and camps as well as attending local and nationwide events.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
What You’ll Need:
- USSF C License preferred
- GK License preferred
- 2-4 years of youth goalkeeper coaching background/experience
- Knowledge and know-how of Microsoft office/Apple os
- Valid US Driver’s license
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours including but not limited to weekends and holidays as required by the FCC game schedule, special events, and projects
