Senior Data Analyst / Data Scientist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst and Data Scientist to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making by building scalable data pipelines, designing robust reporting solutions, and developing advanced predictive models. This role will focus on transforming complex data into actionable insights while also leveraging machine learning techniques to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Processing

• Design, develop, and maintain automated ETL pipelines, ensuring data reliability, quality, and consistency.
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering to enhance analytical models and ML applications.
• Optimize queries and database performance for scalability in large datasets.

Analytics & Reporting

• Create interactive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, translating data insights into actionable business decisions.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
• Standardize reporting processes and implement data visualization best practices.

Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning (ML)

• Develop and maintain predictive models for business forecasting, anomaly detection, and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement ML/AI strategies.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize ML models in production environments.

Data Science & AI Development

• Work closely with engineering teams to integrate ML models into production systems.
• Utilize statistical modeling, A/B testing, and advanced analytics to enhance decision-making.
• Implement and maintain data science workflows, including model validation, testing, and deployment.

Data Governance & Security

• Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Implement data quality monitoring systems to maintain reliability across the organization.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence (BI), or data science.
• Experience building ETL pipelines and working with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar).
• Strong expertise in SQL (complex queries, window functions, performance tuning).
• Advanced proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and ML development.
• Experience with machine learning techniques, model training, and deployment workflows.
• Hands-on experience with dashboard development (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

Technical Skills:

• Data Processing: Advanced SQL for query optimization and data manipulation.
• ETL Development: Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Prefect).
• Machine Learning: Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
• Data Visualization: Strong expertise in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Cloud & Big Data: Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure, including serverless data processing.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git and best practices in code management.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with big data frameworks (Spark, Dask, or Hadoop).
• Understanding of NLP, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
• Exposure to MLOps practices and model monitoring techniques.
• Background in e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS analytics.
