The Opportunity:

We are looking for a hands-on, full-stack Assistant Manager - Marketing to join a leading global M&A advisory firm. This is a builder's role for a versatile marketer who can own execution across the entire marketing function: demand generation, content, SEO and AI-driven search, paid media, social, PR, marketing automation, and reporting.

You will move comfortably between strategy and hands-on execution, equally happy writing a thought-leadership blog, building a HubSpot workflow, launching a Google Ads campaign, running a cold outreach sequence, or standing up an AI-assisted marketing workflow. You understand how to market professional and financial services to a sophisticated B2B audience of business owners, private equity firms, and strategic buyers.

This is a "does everything" marketing role. If a task falls under modern marketing, it likely falls to you.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Outreach

  • Design and execute multi-channel lead generation campaigns (inbound and outbound) to drive qualified deal flow and prospect engagement
  • Build and manage cold outreach sequences (email and LinkedIn) targeting business owners, investors, and strategic buyers
  • Continuously test and optimize outreach messaging, cadence, targeting, and list quality for better response and conversion rates
  • Use tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and enrichment/outreach platforms to build and qualify prospect lists

Marketing Automation & CRM

  • Own day-to-day management of HubSpot (or equivalent): workflows, list segmentation, lead scoring, and campaign tracking
  • Maintain CRM data hygiene, pipeline reporting, and attribution tracking in partnership with the deal origination team
  • Build and manage nurture sequences aligned to the buyer and seller journey
  • Manage email deliverability, domain health, and sending reputation

Content & Copywriting

  • Write and edit blog content, thought leadership, market commentary, and long-form guides that position the firm as a credible M&A authority
  • Produce recurring email newsletters and campaign copy for the buyer and seller audience
  • Create marketing collateral for an advisory audience: teasers, one-pagers, landing page copy, and sales enablement material
  • Ghostwrite and manage executive and company social content in a consistent brand voice

SEO, AEO & LLM Visibility

  • Manage on-page and technical SEO to improve organic rankings and site authority
  • Run link-building and digital PR outreach to grow domain authority and referral traffic
  • Apply Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and LLM-visibility best practices so firm content is surfaced accurately in AI-driven search and generative answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and similar)
  • Maintain structured data, content feeds, and technical assets that help AI systems retrieve and cite firm content correctly

AI Development & Automation

  • Build in-house AI tools, agents, and workflows using Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and other LLM platforms to speed up content, research, outreach, and reporting
  • Develop custom skills, prompt systems, and automation pipelines that turn recurring marketing tasks into reliable, repeatable AI-assisted processes
  • Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) hands-on to build internal utilities, dashboards, and integrations for the marketing team
  • Test new AI models, tools, and platforms as they release, and roll the best ones into daily team workflows
  • Manage the wider marketing tech stack (SEO tools, CRM, analytics, outreach, and AI platforms) and connect systems where it saves time

Social Media & Brand Visibility

  • Plan and manage the organic social calendar across LinkedIn and X/Twitter for the firm and its executives
  • Grow reach, engagement, and follower quality; draft posts, threads, and comment replies in brand voice
  • Support employer branding and internal communications as needed

PR & Communications

  • Draft and distribute press releases for closed deals, appointments, awards, and company milestones via newswire platforms
  • Support media relations and maintain a consistent public narrative for the firm

Performance & Paid Media

  • Plan, execute, and optimize Google Ads and other performance campaigns for lead generation and brand awareness
  • Monitor budgets, CPL/CPA, and ROI across paid channels; report performance with clear, actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with design and content resources to develop high-converting ad creative and landing pages

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report on marketing performance using GA4, Google Search Console, HubSpot, and paid-channel dashboards
  • Translate data into concise, leadership-ready reporting with clear recommendations and next steps
  • Prepare materials for recurring marketing meetings and leadership reviews: agendas, performance decks, and talking points
  • Own attribution and funnel reporting in partnership with business development

Partner Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage day-to-day partner operations: lead distribution and rotation schedules, partner-level lead tracking, and follow-up coordination with individual deal advisors
  • Monitor and report partner-level performance (leads, conversions, pipeline contribution) and flag gaps or wins to leadership
  • Act as the marketing point of contact for partners: coordinate their content, campaign, and lead-related requests end to end
  • Partner closely with deal origination and business development to align marketing output with pipeline and revenue goals
  • Stay current on M&A industry trends, competitor positioning, and marketing technology developments
  • Direct and brief design and other specialist resources where deep expertise is required (this role scopes and manages design rather than producing it)

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of progressive B2B marketing experience, ideally in financial services, M&A advisory, consulting, or professional services
  • Proven hands-on experience with HubSpot (or a similar CRM/marketing automation platform)
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, cold outreach, and pipeline-building campaigns
  • Strong SEO fundamentals with growing familiarity in AEO/GEO/LLM optimization
  • Experience managing Google Ads and performance marketing budgets
  • Excellent written communication with a portfolio of blog/content samples
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) in day-to-day marketing work, including building AI-assisted workflows rather than just using chat interfaces
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable with campaign data, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in M&A, investment banking, PE/VC, or business brokerage marketing
  • Familiarity with Semrush/Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email deliverability platforms
  • Experience creating marketing collateral for a technical or advisory audience (teasers, one-pagers, thought leadership)
  • Experience building internal AI tools, custom agents, or automations with Claude Code, custom GPTs, API-based workflows, or similar

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
