Overview of Role

Fello is looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to report to the CMO and work closely with internal and external teams to drive demand for Fello across a wide range of tactics and marketing channels.  In this role, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our business by taking a data-backed approach to developing and executing company-level growth strategy. 

As a member of the start-up team, this role provides the opportunity to partner with and learn from a powerhouse team of executives with a proven track record of success across a wide range of spaces. We’re looking for a fearless growth marketer who blends creativity, growth intuition, and quant chops to deliver growth from places expected (performance channels, lifecycle marketing, CRO) and less expected (the “I wish I’d thought of that” big ideas). Ideally this person has experience with driving substantial growth in either consumer marketplace or subscription businesses. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all growth workstreams, supporting company-level growth goals by aggressively prioritizing the highest impact projects and constantly improving the velocity and quality of execution.
  • Collaborate with the product team to translate the product's value into compelling messaging for both B2B and B2C customers.
  • Develop content strategies that engage and educate our audience, from blog posts and whitepapers to case studies and video content.
  • Manage and monitor budget allocations, ensuring efficient use of resources to meet growth targets.
  • Work with the data team to build dashboards and track KPIs related to user acquisition, retention, and overall growth.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns for ROI, leveraging data and insights to make informed decisions.
  • Oversee app and website conversion targets by working closely with product and design to identify and roll out messaging, UX, and website performance changes. 
  • Identify, test, and scale new growth channels and tactics beyond paid digital marketing, such as influencer marketing, partnerships, referral programs, and content marketing.
  • Active owner of learning agendas – unpacking what we need to learn, designing experiments, and actioning insights.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing, applying best practices to our growth efforts.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set growth goals and strategies.
  • Mentor and potentially build a team of growth marketers as the company scales.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in growth or performance marketing, with a proven track record of supporting scaling businesses. 
  • Strong track record of scaling user acquisition and engagement in a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Proven experience driving growth for consumer-focused products and/or subscription products, with a strong understanding of customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Experience with incrementality-based measurement approaches and a deep understanding of how to leverage these strategies to scale performance channels effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with A/B testing, CRO, and using analytics tools (Looker, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills. In particular proven effectiveness at collaborating with executive stakeholders, distilling complex problems into recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. 0 to 1 experience is a plus.
