About the Role:
Fetch is hiring a Vice President of Strategy & Operations to define and drive the strategic direction and operational execution of our core shopping business. Reporting to the SVP of Commercialization and serving as the business partner to the Chief Revenue Officer — effectively the COO of our sales org — this leader will instill focus, discipline, and accountability across Fetch’s largest and most strategically important business unit.
Sitting at the organizational center of gravity, this role will shape sales strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure leadership stays relentlessly focused on what matters most. The ideal candidate will cut through complexity, deliver crisp, actionable insights, and guide clear, confident decision-making.
This leader will own and elevate critical business rhythms — from annual and quarterly vertical planning to deep-dive account reviews — while supporting high-impact interactions with the Board, executive team, partners, and customers. This is a role for a world class strategic operator and builder — someone who thrives on connecting vision to execution and raising the game of those around them.
This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support Chief Revenue Officer to run her 100+ person team: Act as a hybrid of COO and Chief of Staff to the CRO, helping “champion and challenge” key decisions; lead and define the company's overall sales strategy, aligning with long-term revenue targets
- Data-Driven Insights: Perform in-depth data collection and analysis to inform vertical level decision-making, framing trade-offs and providing actionable recommendations that balance risk and reward.
- Operational Excellence: Operationalize the strategy and own the business cadence. Design the operating processes and tools to effectively manage the organization. Ensure meetings (staff, revenue reviews) are fit for purpose, run with an eye for efficiency, and with expected outcomes well understood
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish key metrics, and develop sales activity dashboards (as needed), ensuring both high accountability and a unified view of business performance.
- Executive-Level Reporting: Deliver clear, data-backed insights and recommendations to CRO and the broader Fetch executive team to support high-level decision-making. Identify key operating metrics and build an effective approach to monitor progress against goals.
- Sales Commissions: Design and manage commission plans that drive sales performance, align with revenue objectives, and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Sales Tools: Lead the team and define tools strategy across CRM, lead generation, prospecting, sales automation, and enablement platforms, ensuring all tools are modern, effective, and aligned with go-to-market priorities.
Minimum Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or sales operations roles
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Ability to break down complex challenges, identify root causes, and develop actionable, high-impact solutions.
- Project Management: Familiarity with tech industry product development processes and lifecycle for consumer and enterprise businesses. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Execution Excellence: A “get things done” attitude with a proven track record of successfully driving initiatives from planning to execution.
- Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to evaluate business performance and guide strategic decisions.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, etc) to extract and interpret data for informed decision-making.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to leverage data insights to drive strategy and operations, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the flexibility to pivot as business priorities evolve.
- Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to approach problems systematically and deliver well-rounded, nuanced solutions.
Preferred Requirements:
- Substantial experience interacting with and influencing senior-level executives.
