We are seeking a Director, Investor Relations to be based in our New York office; this is a hybrid role with at least 3 days expected in-person.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will primarily be responsible for helping to plan and execute internal IR initiatives, including offerings, internal share market, shareholder platform implementation, KKR transaction events, quarterly IR reporting, tax updates and documentation, other shareholder communications, share repurchases for departing employees, annual dividend payment, and equity administration.

The individual will also support execution of equity offerings and annual Employee Share Program and help maintain the cap table and shareholder tracking. 

Additional Responsibilities:

The individual will also have the opportunity to contribute to IR related client engagements:

  • Oversee and prepare research for client distribution on IR topics to provide examples, best practices, case studies and respond to specific client requests with guidance and recommendations. 
  • Draft or review IR deliverables including earnings materials, presentations, other investor communications.
  • Participate with other team members in client prep and feedback sessions. 
  • Support development of client investor day events.
  • Provide direction on peer analysis research and summary/reporting.
  • Contribute perspective and guidance in ESG reporting and other ESG related initiatives.
  • Support perception study team on execution and client presentations.
  • Assist in development of proposals for new and existing clients. 
  • Act as an account project manager, including assigning responsibilities, anticipating account needs and ensuring activities are completed on-time, while providing strategic and tactical support to senior team members. 
  • Serve as the center for information on accounts with knowledge of everything that is going on with the account.
  • Build and manage media relationships, including responding to inbound inquiries and serving as a spokesperson for clients.
  • Be a mentor and role model for other account staff by leading through actions – being prepared, proactive, and available, with a “can do” attitude.
  • Engage directly with clients and advisors, representing our recommendations or position on issues that have a financial, brand, and/or business impact.
  • Support new business opportunities in the market and working to strengthen and expand existing client relationships with compelling ideas and excellent service.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, finance, communications, or a related field.
  • Client focused, with a high bar for quality and results. 
  • Strong analytical skills based in finance and/or accounting knowledge.
  • Highly collaborative, with strong communications skills, and able to work well in teams.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, and an ability to seamlessly balance multiple assignments and client situations simultaneously.
  • Confidence and presence to work effectively with senior members of account teams and clients in high-stakes situations.
  • Well-rounded, adaptable, and detailed-oriented individual comfortable working through challenges.
  • Solid judgment and the capacity to accurately assess complicated situations and ask the right questions. 
  • Highly motivated and calm under pressure.
  • The ability to manage, be responsible for and mentor junior staff. 
  • Demonstrated project management experience.

EDUCATION

  • An undergraduate degree is required. Master’s degree is a plus.

New York City Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 USD
