The Role

The candidate should have an exceptional academic background (preferably in journalism, PR, communications, translation, business, finance, politics or language studies), excellent trilingual communications and presentation skills, be able to work under tight deadlines, analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented and a team player.

 

Key Responsibilities

Serving as the eyes and ears for the team.

  • Monitoring breaking news or media stories on traditional and social media on a daily basis
  • Supporting the team with industry and company-specific research and news analysis
  • Conducting research and analysis on business initiatives, industry development, analyst reports, and traditional/social media landscapes

 

Helping to develop various materials and handling certain tasks, including:

  • Drafting advisory notes, communications collaterals and press releases
  • Supporting outreach to key media and journalists
  • Supporting the team on thought leadership campaigns and other communications engagement

 

Required Skills & Qualities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin); additional languages are a bonus
  • Demonstrable understanding of global media landscape, current affairs and geopolitics
  • Interest in business environment, financial services, and capital markets would be a distinct advantage
  • Able to build relationships; command confidence of others internally & externally
  • Analytical, organised, efficient, adaptable and accountable
