Role Overview

FGS Global is seeking a visionary leader to establish and drive our AI Advisory offering. This leader will be responsible for building a world-class advisory offering that helps clients in communications and adjacent functions adopt, integrate, and optimize AI, data, and analytics into their daily operations. This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days/week expected in-person in our New York, NY office.

You will shape the group's strategy, recruit and develop a high-performing team, lead client engagements, and work closely with Partners to embed AI Advisory across the firm’s global client base. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in AI transformation, consulting, learning and development, and change management, with a nuanced understanding of AI ethics, governance, and communications technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Growth
    • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the AI Advisory offering, aligned with FGS Global’s Intelligence & Engagement mission and growth objectives.
    • Identify and pursue cross-sell opportunities with Partners and other leaders.
    • Build, mentor, and manage a diverse, high-performing team of consultants and technical experts.
  • Client Advisory & Delivery
    • Serve as a senior advisor to C-suite and functional leaders on AI adoption, transformation, and risk management.
    • Oversee and deliver advisory services including tech stack audits, vendor selection, AI governance frameworks, staff upskilling, and organizational change management.
    • Ensure exceptional client service, thought leadership, and measurable impact across all engagements.
      • Develop and refine proprietary methodologies, tools, and training programs for AI-driven communications and stakeholder engagement.
    • Stay at the forefront of industry trends in AI, analytics, and digital transformation; translate insights into actionable client solutions.
  • Governance & Ethics
    • Lead the development of responsible AI governance, policy frameworks, and ethical standards for client engagements.
    • Ensure all advisory work meets the highest standards of compliance, privacy, and reputational risk mitigation.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work alongside leaders from FGS Global’s Intelligence & Engagement unit to offer our services, solutions and capabilities 
    • Act as a visible ambassador for AI Advisory within the firm, supporting internal education and capability uplift.
    • Pursue thought leadership opportunities — bylines, panels, conferences, speaking engagements — to represent our POV in the market and create awareness

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in management consulting, digital transformation, or a related field, with a focus on AI, analytics, or technology-enabled change.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex AI or data-driven transformation projects within large organizations.
  • Expertise in learning and development, organizational design, and change management best practices.
  • Strong background in AI ethics, governance, and regulatory considerations.
  • Working knowledge of AI-powered marketing, communications, or stakeholder engagement tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional client advisory, communication, and relationship-building skills; trusted advisor to senior executives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building new offerings or practices in a professional services environment.
  • Advanced degree in business, technology, communications, or related field preferred.

In New York, NY, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $300,000 - $350,000+ USD. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
