Associate Director or Director (m/f/d) Equity Advisory & Investor Relations

- You serve as primary advisor to CFOs and IROs on equity stories and capital markets strategy that drive valuation outcomes, managing expectations in challenging situations and advising on benchmarking, investor perception studies, financial calendar management, earnings communications, roadshows, IR regulatory requirements, and corporate governance.
- You translate complex technical and financial developments into compelling communications for investors, analysts and other external stakeholders, architecting tailored equity stories and preparing management for key milestones.
- You develop capital markets response strategies for earnings volatility, activist campaigns, short-seller attacks, and regulatory investigations, and guide companies through critical transitions including IPO preparation, post-IPO positioning, and M&A investor communications.
- You stay current on market, geopolitical, and economic developments - AI-driven investing, retail investor growth, regulatory changes, and market volatility - translating trends into recommendations that help clients adapt their equity story and investor engagement.
- You serve as capital markets quarterback on integrated engagements, orchestrating solutions with our crisis management, media relations, public affairs, and digital specialists, while identifying new business opportunities and cross-serving FGS capabilities.
- You network within the capital markets and IR community, support new business activities and pitches, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the growth of your local office.
What You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent, in a subject related to finance, business administration, economics or a similar field.
- At least three years’ professional experience as an Associate Director and six years’ as a Director across investor relations, investment banking, strategy consulting, equity research, or corporate finance.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, corporate strategy, and how financial narratives impact investor perception and valuation.
- Proficiency in IR best practices - disclosure requirements, regulatory frameworks, and financial calendar management - or learning agility to master these quickly.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills in German and English, with ability to translate complex financial developments into persuasive narratives for investors and analysts.
- Experience advising senior executives in high-pressure situations - IPOs, activist campaigns, earnings volatility, transformations - while managing multiple projects and delivering results.
- Collaborative team player across practices and geographies, skilled at building buy-in for integrated solutions that leverage FGS Global's full capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with proven business development capabilities and confidence interacting with CFOs, board members, and investors.
- Commitment to mentoring junior colleagues and staying current on capital markets trends.
