The Role
The Senior Associate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality equity advisory and investor relations counsel to clients across Asia and be part of a fast-growing Investor Relations advisory team in Singapore. This position requires a unique combination of deep financial literacy, strategic advisory expertise, and the ability to operate independently in high-stakes capital markets situations.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in investment banking (ECM or M&A) or sell-side equity research. This role is designed for individuals who can bridge technical financial analysis with strategic storytelling to help clients navigate complex investor relations, capital markets transactions, and corporate positioning challenges.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key day-to-day client contact, managing accounts and overseeing project delivery across IR and equity advisory mandates.
- Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
- Lead preparation of investor-facing materials including earnings presentations, roadshow decks, investor day content, and Q&A documents.
- Develop data-driven equity narratives that articulate clients' investment cases, growth strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Draft meeting briefs, key messages, and speaker notes for client engagements with institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
- Support clients through capital markets transactions including IPOs, equity raises, and M&A announcements.
- Monitor and analyze share price movements, trading activity, institutional ownership trends, and analyst consensus.
- Conduct peer benchmarking, valuation analysis, earnings reviews, and market sentiment tracking to inform client strategy.
- Prepare internal and client-facing reports synthesizing financial data, investor feedback, and market developments.
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and other capital markets stakeholders across Southeast Asia.
- Gather market intelligence and investor feedback to inform FGS counsel and client positioning.
- Manage and mentor Associates on day-to-day projects; provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Contribute to new business pitches, proposals, and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.
Desired Skills & Qualities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field.
- 1–3 years in investment banking (ECM or M&A) or sell-side equity research is essential; 2–5 years of total work experience.
- Prior exposure to investor relations, corporate communications, or strategic advisory is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, AlphaSense, or Mergermarket.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and responsive — particularly during acute client periods such as earnings, transactions, or crises.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple workstreams
- Collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and sound professional judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills (fluency required). Additional language skills, particularly in an Asian dialect would be advantageous.
