
Veterinary Technician Supervisor - Specialty Medicine
Friendship Hospital for Animals, a premier AAHA-accredited hospital in Washington, D.C., is seeking a credentialed veterinary technician supervisor to lead our dynamic specialty medicine teams. About the role:
We are seeking a credentialed veterinary technician to assist with oversight of day-to-day operations with our specialty departments. Collaborating closely with the Specialty Operations Manager and hospital leadership, you will drive initiatives to improve communication and patient care across departments. You will play a key role in hiring, training, and performance management, while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence. Additionally, you will work with veterinarians and department leaders to optimize workflow, monitor key performance indicators, and support ongoing education and mentorship for your teams.
Schedule: This is a full time position. Either four 10 hour shifts or five 8 hour shifts per week.

Qualifications
- Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, CVT, RVT) or eligibility to obtain licensure in any state required.
- At least one year in a related leadership role is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in specialty veterinary medicine is required.
- Specialty training or VTS highly preferred
