Sales Specialist Manager

The FiberFirst Sales Specialist Manager plays a critical role in executing the customer acquisition effort through direct sales, creating a full go to market plan and managing the various sales channels. This all‐encompassing role will have a broad range of responsibilities including, but not limited to, overall sales and responsibility for FiberFirst consumer channels, overall market sales levels and forecasting, and supporting partnerships within the assigned territory, hiring of the front‐line sales team, training, and ongoing support of all local market activities to drive growth. This role, while focused on the residential segment, will also support the Small Business channel.

  • The role will be based out of Southlake, TX.

Employment Classification:

  • Exempt: Regular, Full-time

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises 2 teams. A team of 3 Inside Sales Specialists and a team of 5 Outside Sales Specialists including training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and support.
  • Responsible for delegating tasks, ensuring team objectives are met, and maintaining a productive and compliant work environment.
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to direct reports to encourage professional development.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Create a repeatable go to market playbook (including promotional offers / community events / sponsorships) for our new FiberFirst brand in conjunction with our current sales & marketing
  • Hiring for and driving success of Inside Sales Specialist and Outside Sales Specialist positions
  • Sales leader covering primarily consumer – growing the business top line and driving Monthly, quarterly, and annual plan creation to reach sales goals.
  • National point of contact for supporting all brand strategies developed with our marketing agency related to selling and upsizing customer revenue and take rates.
  • Revenue and Customer Add ownership
  • Customer Churn management and mitigation
  • Analyzing performance indicators, financial statements, and sales Identifying areas to cut costs while improving programs, performance, and policies.

Education and / or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or higher level of education required
  • Demonstrated achievement of prior quotas, ideally in the telecom or data space
  • A deep background in consumer selling, ideally in the telecom space with a Tier 1 carrier
  • Hiring experience for direct sales positions
  • Vendor management and contract negotiation experience
  • Budget management experience, including managing a distributed workforce

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Background in goal setting and delivery results presentations - Monthly, quarterly, and annual plan read outs pertaining to sales goals.
  • An understanding of market performance indicators, financial statements, and sales
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel within and between sales footprints (Texas, Nebraska, Arizona and California)

  • Work Environment: This role requires travel and office work. The work environment is fast paced, and the employee may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
