Impact In This Role:
The Injection Molding Product Line Director role is responsible for developing and managing a vision and strategy for injection molding at Fictiv which leads to expanded market share through profitable top line growth. This will be possible through understanding and monitoring both the market and high value customer needs, aligning internal stakeholders, setting the appropriate product pricing and performance targets, coordinating product marketing tasks, training sales teams, and managing the injection molding business function at Fictiv.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Holds complete responsibility, accountability, and authority for the injection molding line of business.
- Develop a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive the strategic direction of injection molding.
- Analyze existing product line strategies and develop the product line to achieve profitable top line revenue growth.
- Act as a product line specialist and support sales internally and externally as a subject matter expert.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the product offering and associated processes to drive profitable growth.
- Spot risks, find opportunities, understand competitive landscapes and emerging trends, articulate implications, translate insight into pragmatic, fast-cycle action.
- Work back from needs of customers, conducting research with go-to-market teams and customers to continually enhance line-of-business competitiveness and customer value.
- Define & maintain a clear, committed and flexible product roadmap; Drive objectives and key metrics to measure the success.
- Partner closely with sales, engineering, technical program management, and other customer functions (pre-sales, post-sales) and provide leadership guidance.
- Monitor industry and market trends that impact primary revenue sources. Keep track of competitors’ activities and market positioning within high-value accounts.
- Manage margin performance through price analysis and quotation reviews.
- Effectively communicate injection molding offering progress, updates, and strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Actively challenge input where necessary to enhance accountability and performance.
Desired Traits, Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in injection molding, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role overseeing operations, production, and business development.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, equipment, materials, and technology.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including ISO and environmental guidelines.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customer meetings, site visits, or industry events.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence, business growth, and customer satisfaction in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with customers, senior management, and internal teams.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex manufacturing challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

Salary Range: $140,000 to $180,000 per year (depending upon experience)
