Impact in this Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sourcing Intern to join our Strategic Sourcing team. In this role, you will support the team in identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure we secure the best quality, cost, and delivery terms for the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and supply chain operations.
You will report to the Lead of Strategic Sourcing.
Areas of Responsibility:
Supplier Research & Identification:
- Assist in researching and identifying potential new suppliers/vendors across various categories.
- Request for Quotation (RFQ) Support: Help prepare and distribute RFQs (Request for Quote), and RFIs (Request for Information) to prospective suppliers.
- Supplier Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records in the procurement system, including contact information, pricing agreements, and performance documentation.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, commodity pricing, and potential supply chain risks.
- Purchase Order (PO) Support: Assist in issuing purchase orders and tracking order status to ensure timely delivery.
- Vendor Communication: Serve as a point of contact for administrative follow-ups with suppliers regarding documentation, pricing clarifications, or delivery schedules.
Desired Traits:
- Class of 2027, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in International Economics and Trade, Business Administration, Management, Economics or related major.
- Written & Spoken English skills, CET-6 is preferred.
- Willing to learn.
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
