About the Role
The Servicing Portfolio Analyst position is an emerging role with influence on loan portfolio management and is essential to the organization's ability to scale. The position will be responsible for our servicing portfolio management, research, and analysis. This position will report to the Servicing Portfolio Manager. You will be the key provider of accurate loan portfolio data to the entire company.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and analyze the performance of our existing loan servicing portfolios, identifying trends and risks. Perform detailed analyses of portfolio risks, including various risk factors and their correlations. Design monitoring systems to detect and mitigate potential risk behaviors. Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to support informed decision-making.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor the effectiveness of default strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary. Analyze default trends, customer behavior, and economic factors to develop effective default management strategies.
- Conduct research on market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory requirements relevant to our lending portfolio. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in the industry.
- Assists with driving the accountability to key performance metrics across the portfolio
- Collaborates with the Senior Portfolio Manager, Directors, and other team members on key strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with colleagues across different departments, including but not limited to lending, underwriting, loan administration, and credit to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Assist in due diligence activities, including site visits, document reviews, and verification of vendor/subservicer provided information.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on portfolio performance.
- Accurately reconcile servicing portfolios – audit accounting and invoice data for accuracy and reasonableness, identify and resolve transactional discrepancies in a timely manner using multiple data sources, and track outstanding issues and ensure resolution.
- Respond to data requests from internal and external sources
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Accounting preferred) or equivalent
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in analyzing complex problems and translating them into an analytical approach
- Experience with Loan Management Systems preferred
- 3+ years of experience in portfolio analysis, financial analysis, or a related analytical role in consumer finance, mortgage or HELOC preferred
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar).
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, partnership, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of Tableau helpful, but not required.
Salary
- Compensation Range: $70,000 - $82,000
- Quarterly 25% bonus target
- Equity stock options package
- This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs
